I just hope one day before 4K discs end that they release a better-looking Special Edition 4K. It's such a fantastic movie but very disappointing that it looked so terrible and it wasn't the SE. I thought they did it as the theatrical version only so they could re-release it at a later stage as the SE to milk some more money from us, but it hasn't happened. The character provided a few amusing moments, but I think it said too much crap overall. The Philadelphia Experiment also has quite a bit of soft drink product placement. Don't get me started on Mac and Me...! That's what I thought... the bigger the ship, the bigger the repulsor engine, so it does what it does. Wow, honestly surprised YouTube would allow this to be on their site. I know it's all simulated except the animal killing, but still... There's a bit of an accepted gentleman's agreement in the industry that BTTF will not be remade unless Zemeckis has passed away. I believe that a better option is to create a limited TV series based on the characters of Marty and Doc, which flashes back and forth in time as we get to know them separately in their lives before meeting, and then season 2 could see how Marty enters Doc's life in the 1950s and it 'retells' the first film from there in a more detailed multi-episode TV format. It's been discussed on here before and I wrote a bit of an outline, and told the OP to pursue it but I don't know if he ended up doing anything with it. I generally like Burt Reynolds and I love cars and road movies, but I've never really found this movie to be very appealing. Maybe it could be the way it makes the cops out to seem so dumb, or its brand of humour. She is still young and will mellow out and seek out a more stable partner in time. We know the main leads were on a date and relaxing and trying to 'switch off' from their professions / obsessions for a while, but the people running the show should have known better. They would have at least known of possible thunderstorms being forecasted for their area that night. I think it's not too bad. You could swap out Bronson with Clint Eastwood, as it feels kinda like a 'lite' Dirty Harry has been assigned to protect the First Lady. Also made me think a lot of In the Line of Fire, a 1993 Eastwood film about protecting he President. Jill Ireland makes a great pompous First Lady, however for me it's Jan Gan Boyd as Charlotte who plays the sleazy colleague. I just love the way she walks into Bronson's apartment and says, "Oh, are those pants coming off or going on?" and then is disappointed to find he's getting dressed to leave for work. She has great hair too! Spoiler... From memory, the toxic fog had stopped spreading further and had not covered a large area where there were survivors. This inspired the young guy to return to Earth and he pleaded with the woman (his partner and future mother of their unborn child) to go too so the child could have a natural life on a planet and not be stuck on the space station, but she flat refused. She then pretended to agree so she could sabotage the controls and stop them. I was surprised the young guy had forced the older man to come too, as the man's hands were bound and she had to release them. Overall, it was an interesting movie with an impressive production design. Seeing the fog moving across Earth for the first time from the woman's POV during the space walk was horrifying but it's not a movie I'll watch again. It didn't captivate me enough. Good points! I seem to remember some Close Encounters elements but not E.T. What were the E.T. elements that you refer to? I know it's been three years. I recently watched him in Matchstick Men which I had not seen for a long time and really liked it. He is also great in Dream Scenario. I highly recommend it. Good one! I think she peaked in Labyrinth. I would never confuse the two but I can certainly see how someone could mistaken them. The unique thing about Leslie Nielsen (note the second 'e') is how he could play silly things with completely straight acting. Haha, that made me chuckle. Yes, she is like his twin sister or something. I've listened to the audio book of that, I didn't think it was that good. It has some moments which could have been better, but having just watched it this week I found it to be not as bad as I thought the first time I watched it when it came out. Glad I watched it again. Yes for sure. In reality the cops would separate all involved in the street and take them for separate questioning to ensure they completely understand what's happened and there's nothing more to come. I also don't believe Nick and Mercer and co. would end up at the pub soon after in a celebratory and proposing kinda mood.
