Do you still buy flicks? Or did you give up on DVD's, and pawn the ones you had? If you're starting to dig Part5's, check out Wrong Turn 5. I'm halfway in, and it's excellent. Disney just never admitted it? I see... I think sometimes a clone has more charm than the preceding film. For example, I find "creature" much more entertaining than Alien, which it's pretty much a ripoff of. True, but I guess I'm asking about favorite films that are considered "carbon copies" of previous flicks. I didn't know that, actually. Unlike some predecessors, that "It" movie you speak of didn't achieve fame. That's probably true. You know what, that lead guy looks a lot like some guy I graduated with, and I think it kept me from being able to take the entire film seriously. Possibly my biggest issue with it is the fact that it had unrecognizable actors in lead roles. Who are these guys? I liked 10,000 bc, even though I didn't know who the protagonist was. But he had high moral standards for himself, and comes off as a hero in general. No such image is given from the protagonist in Apocalypto. Then it has no redeeming qualities, imo. I never cared for it. It may be historically accurate enough, but I didn't care for the characters nor execution. Yep. It's kinda hard to ask interesting questions without crossing the line, though. My 2 cents. I thought Watchmen was horrible, even by comic book movie standards. Much the same, I also think the War of the Worlds remake is deplorable, even by remake standards. I like MC, but imo, MovieForums is a decent alternative (despite much less activity). [cheers] Nise. * In other words, once you've seen it 30 times, you'll change your mind. This is practically a confession.
