Have you seen Apocalypto?
Great fucking movie
shareI never cared for it.
It may be historically accurate enough, but I didn't care for the characters nor execution. Yep.
It was actually extremely historically inaccurate. So was Braveheart. Still extremely good movies IMO.
shareThen it has no redeeming qualities, imo.
shareHow can you say that? It is extremely well made, even if you don’t care for the subject matter or narrative. A flawed script is more than compensated for by the visually stunning set pieces and some of the best action put to film.
sharePossibly my biggest issue with it is the fact that it had unrecognizable actors in lead roles.
Who are these guys? I liked 10,000 bc, even though I didn't know who the protagonist was. But he had high moral standards for himself, and comes off as a hero in general.
No such image is given from the protagonist in Apocalypto.
Lol. I like 10,000 B.C. too, but it is not even on the same level as Apocalypto.
Your protagonist argument is a bit confusing, considering the main protagonist in Alocalypto only tries to protect his family and people, and fights to the death in doing so. He is way more of a hero than the lead in 10,000 B.C., which I can’t really even compare the two movies.
You know what, that lead guy looks a lot like some guy I graduated with, and I think it kept me from being able to take the entire film seriously.
shareYes, I enjoyed it.
shareI have not. It's on the watch list.
shareEXTREMELY ENTERTAINING FLICK...GREAT ACTION,TIGHT STORY...VERY,VERY GOOD.
shareI know a lot of people that hate it. Never understood why. Always thought it was a super entertaining flick.
shareNot my kind of thing. I thought it was rather boring.
shareYes, I have. It was great.
