Thanks for the explanation of various issue I had. At least someone pays attention compared to me. ;-) Of the few episodes I have seen of S2, not enjoyable at all. Perhaps, when I am bored again I will give it a go. Good topic. Jig(bloody)saw: Total & utter trash. Didn't care one jot about anyone and totally uninventive. None of the traps were good and no tension. Loved the originals. Perhaps, they need to go back to the original writer(s) and director(s). Wonder Woman Finally, got round to seeing this one and it was just okay. The 3rd act was terrible and lots little things bothered me throughout. My wife fell asleep during the 3rd act that's how interesting it was to her. Confidential Assignment (Korean action movie) Buddy cop movie but quite enjoyable. Similar to Red Heat from the old days with Arnie. Lucky bar stewards. We are stuck with this cr@ppy sugary stuff that takes my theeth away. Perhaps, but the story was lacking so much. Just didn't enjoy it. The fun of Claire and whatever his name is were/are good together and in S2 they were well separated. They managed to live in France without any issue with language, etc. never mind Claire should be dead of some disease already but we can forgive that one. May be I will give it another go. Oh God. So we go from Steve McQueen & Dustin Hoffman to Charlie Hunnam & Rami Malek. :-( That says it all really. However good reviews it gets, I am not watching it and spoling my memories of how good original Papillon was. Agree. Loved Journeyman. Pity they cancelled it after S1. :( Absolutely. Loved it and especially the ending. What a movie. Have watched is few times already and can't get enough of it. When was the remake of Papillon made? Are you talking about Steve McQueen version as the remake? In that case, I loved it but it is not rewatchable for me. Too may sad bits in it. Didn't like the original because of John Wayne and thought that the remake was rubbish (considering it came from the Coen brothers whose work I usually love). IMHO original HK movie Infernal Affairs is way more interesting and better than hollywoodised The Departed. Breaking Bad - Binged on it last year until S5 which was poor IMHO. They should have stopped with S4 cliffhanger. Dexter - Loved it (it is on par with BB above) up to S4. Half way thru S5 but don't want to go on any more. Those that haven't seen it and plan to see it then please STOP at the end S4. You will regret it if you go on watching it after S4. Great show. Deadwood - After hearing so much about this one, I gave it a go. Loved first two seasons but the 3rd one was a real let down for me. Actually they shot their feet when they gave the keys of the DC kingdom to Hack Snyder. Actually, I think the best CBM director of all time is Zack Snyder. ;-) DC movies are being talked of such light that you want them to carry on talking about them right? Jeez. Of course it will. Ha. That's why WB/DC have embargo on the reviews. But WB/DC must allow the reviewers to see the movie or perhaps more importantly write a review if they have seen the movie already. Isn't there an embargo on the reviews until a day or two days before release? Why? What are they afraid of? Basically, they don't want to miss out on the pre-booking of tickets in case the reviewed are terrible (they can't get BvS:Martha terrible I am sure). This doesn't bode well for the movie. The two things going for it are Whedon and (perhaps) return of Superman (even in a cameo at the end). WB/DC are not even using either of these in the promotion. I have now seen 5 episodes of S2 and officially it is all over for me. I have given up on it - no more DS for me. It is a terrible show now and all the fun has gone out. I want to like this show as well but the pilot didn't do much for me. Also, I just can't stand the lead. Perhaps, few more episodes and he will grow on me but at the moment a big no. Agree with most of your comments too. So many stupid decision taken by people. For example, the parents of the child at the airport - why would they trust him to cut open their child. Also, why didn't the ambulance arrive or more importantly the medical staff at the airport itself? There were so many moments like this that it made the show less watchable for me. I am not surprised the ratings are down. They start of with a bang (S1) and then is downhill all the way. I have only seen the first two episodes and can't be bothered to watch the rest. That's how interesting S2 has been. Also, I have only seen one episode of Madam Secretary so not sure whether to start watching that instead of this poor man's West Wing wannebe. Thanks for the responses. I thought this place was dead. At least S1 was so absurd that it was enjoyable (like so bad is so good kind of way). S2 is just terrible. OGAGREEH = You may be right about change of policy from the DS makers but it makes for a shIte show. If you are going for West Wing II then hire some very good writers.
