In Source Code he went into a different parallel universe/dimension each time. That's why there were always some things slightly different on each "run". And that's why he was able to continue in that other dimension when she "unplugged" (or should I say: untethered) him in the original one.
Groundhog Day had Bill Murray repeat the exact same day over and over.
And in Edge of Tomorrow it was similar, but not only Tom Cruise but also the enemy retained their memory.
Also, as per https://moviechat.org/tt0087363/Gremlins/58c741d16b51e905f66ed0ad/Technical-goof-Snow-and-grimlins?reply=58c741d16b51e905f66ed0af they multiply when getting in contact with "warm water".
Assuming they have a body temperature, any water (and snow) they come in contact with would heat up to become "warm water". At least it would take on ambient temperature.
And what about high humidity / dense fog? Or other liquids? What H₂O concentration is needed to trigger the multiplication?
And what counts as "feeding"? What if they swallow something at 23:59? It's still in their stomach when it turns "midnight". Does that count as "feeding" or is it only the act of chewing and swallowing? And if so, what about introducing food via a nasal tube?
Maybe the IP is expiring... wasn't there something about brands/trademarks expiring when they're not actively used for some 20-30 years?
They should've killed Lloyd when he was tranquillised already.
About 20 minutes here as well.
-the first use of the AI you've built for taking care of your dog is to predict the weather
-even though there are pockets of civilisation, nobody knows how to use radios anymore, it's tucking postcards to bridges instead
-to get a few metres through the sunlight to your RV, you need the full suit including cooling apparatus
-some bad entity with clearly enough supplies drives for hours and hours (and back) to follow someone - for what?
And then finds out he didn't have to <spoiler>get cancer if he just moved a few miles west earlier</spoiler>.
More like that those creatures can hear you over the whole forest's birds singing...
<blockquote> But how come the others weren't mesmerized like her? Because she's an adult?</blockquote>
I was wondering this as well and read the plot summary of the comics on Wikipedia and there it says <spoiler>that people forget everything about the keys once they turn 18 which also explains why the mother couldn’t remember she was in the mirror or why the uncle was unphased by his own memories and even got a headache trying to remember them.</spoiler>.
<blockquote> The daughter was irritating as well.</blockquote>
That’s because she <spoiler>killed her fear and thus isn’t afraid of anything anymore.</spoiler>
It wasn't only the toy, also, when they entered the tunnel, that same effing kid stood there like a deer in headlights. I'd have sacrificed her hours ago already.
Yep, thought the same. Why leave the guns for a stupid axe? And they could've taken post in a room on an upper floor and sniped her before she even got out of the car. Then fill the remaining minutes with the police finding the kid's body, his family having a proper burial and Abra becoming a psychic finding lost children and doing some vampire hunting at night.
I'd like to know, too. Probably didn't want it to be "contaminated" by the shop assistance or so, but it was never really explained and she also lost it a few times.
Changing from a nice gun to an axe is also an idiot move.
My wife says that wasn't Jack Torrance but a projection from the evil hotel. So it had no interest in saving Danny.
If you like lots of Deus Ex Machinas .... then it might be great.
Kicking butt? She couldn't even light up the "Fasten your seatbelt" signs fast enough. Or close the door again. Or put up the shields so that that Romulan can't beam away. Sooo much stupidity.....
Which was stupid as well, because somehow he knew all the security codes for the ship and the ship didn't recognise there was a different Android from a different time on board. (No check for serial numbers or some other form of authentication?)
But then, this fits just wonderfully into the whole movie full of stupid people and stupid actions.
Still very doubtful that a newspaper company incl. people that ship/deliver them survived longer than the military doing experiments on how to destroy those things.
Batteries. They will last for a while and if they die, put up another device somewhere else and retrieve the empty batteries for charging. Or use armoured cables. Or just bury the cable. The monsters only attack the sound source anyways.
