What would be the appropriate time to start feeding them afterward? 5 a.m?

Assuming they have a body temperature, any water (and snow) they come in contact with would heat up to become "warm water". At least it would take on ambient temperature.
And what about high humidity / dense fog? Or other liquids? What H₂O concentration is needed to trigger the multiplication?
