Yeah, I've liked him for years now since I first saw him on a really good sitcom called Grounded For Life around 2002, and it wasn't until this show came on that I found out he's part Puerto Rican himself--that's interesting,lol.
I saw a couple of episodes of the show when it came on, since CBS promoted the heck out of it, and was starting to like it--particularly since British actor Colin Salmon played a double role of good guy and villain on one episode (he used his real British accent whole playing the bad guy, which was interesting,lol.) Completely forgot about this show, came across something about it, and wondered why it wasn't renewed, because it did have a sense of humor about itself. Oh,well.

Jane was actually pretty good as the Punisher--I was surprised that he didn't go on to become a full-time action star, but maybe that isn't what he wanted to be.

My bad---I said "up-and-coming" only because that was the first thing I'd seen him in. Still one of the best shows of the late '80s, and one that I think dosen't get its due often. When classic '80s shows are discussed, the name of Quantun Leap rarely seems to come up, which I don't understand. I love how it dealt with social issues through Sam's travels in time---each episode was like a fun history lesson couched in thriller-suspense mode in some cases. Didn't know it lasted 5 seasons---I remember watching it for the first two seasons,at least.
I read a book about Eastwood years ago (by film Richard Schickel) in which he himself said that he had grown up watching films with strong female characters, and he felt that in the early '70s, that they were disappearing from the screen. So,he said,that's why he tried to make films with strong female characters---such as The Beguiled, and any other film he made during the '70s---like the The Gauntlet,for example. The Beguiled was considered a financial gamble at the time because he wasn't playing his usual good guy character---and it became one of his few flops--even though it got more respect in Europe when it was released. I've never thought Play Misty For Me was misogynistic, like other '70s flicks (and not all '70s flicks were like that either.)

What makes you think they aren't grateful? Most of these people under DACA were brought here as kids or literally straight-up babies, so America is the only home they know. They work for what they have,too---exactly who is saying that society "owes" them anything? Some weren't even told they were illegal until they got older. And the reality is, legally applying for citizenship can take years, depending on what country you come from. It's definitely not as easy as most Americans think it is. And immigrants forced to come here from war-torn countries where they would have gotten killed or got bombed out of their homes (like the Syrian refugees) obviously no longer had the luxury of waiting for citizenship (that is, if they even wanted to come here in the first place.) They're the ones placed where they have to be vetted for for an entire year and a half before they are even considered viable for a green card.

Exactly! And he dosen't understand how as president, his words and actions are going to affect everyone in this country and some parts of this world. I swear, I still can't believe we have this fckg old backwards out-of-date, out-of-touch idiot who seem to think he's still running his real estate business, and thinks that everybody still has to jump when he says "jump", as our so-called president---he's nothing but a damn joke. I cringe every time he dumb-a** makes a speech because he never comes off like he actually knows what the hell he's talking about, and seems to spend more time insulting anybody who dosen't automatically bend over for him than anything else. He's a horrible role model, and it's pretty clear that he's spent his entire life not living in the real world because he's rich, unlike the rest of us ordinary people.

Do your damn research. Those people screaming at their own district reap not to get rid of Obamacare ARE people who are paying for it because they're on themselves,or a family member of theirs is. They are people who are ON Obamacare,you fool. You and your family aren't paying for s***, THEY are because they're on it. How the hell can you pay for something you yourself don't even have? And, the repubs didn't come up with an alternative because they never even tried to see if they could come up with one. Since they hated Obamacare so much, how come they never even bothered to try and replace it? And you're only said it's a mess because that's just a repub talking point from conservatives who have never even tried to understand how it even works. You can watch videos on youtube with testimonies from people on Obamacare who said that it literally saved their lives, especially for people with pre-existing condition who usually find it difficult to get any kind of medical insurance. Or look up testimonies of actual people that are actually on Obamacare. Yes, the premium price need to be lowered to make them more affordable, but trumpf's propsed changes would have only driven up premiums even more. So how was that going to make things any being for health insurance? The idiot didn't even read the bill---he spent more time haranging the republicans to vote for more than he actually did on trying to learn and get a basic understanding of how health care works.
And where did you get that BS claim that Obama "pushed for allowing children born alive during abortions to NOT be given any care because "it would burden the original decision of the mother"." According to this article, he never, ever, supported infanticide---it's way more complicated than that,and about the differences in the state bills and laws he did support--but then you trumpf supporters/Obama haters don't give a damn about facts unless they support trumpf's lying-a**:

Also,Obama was a state rep. for six years and U.S. State Senator for three----something it would have taken you all of 15 seconds to find out. But like I said, you ignorant trumpfheads can't deal with any issue that's more complicated than a simple "I hate liberals" or " I'll support anything trumpf does because he panders directly to my racism and sexism and fear of seeing my town/city losing work."

And BTW,Obama deported way more illegal immigrants than any other president before him---look it up. He just didn't brag about it every time he turned around,that's all. Oh, stop lying. If Obamacare is so damn horrible, than how come you've had so many people screaming in town halls at their representatives in Congress to NOT repeal Obamacare, because they needed the coverage it provided? And why haven't you switched providers if it it's so bad? And there's the fact that the republicans had at least seven years to come up with a replacement for Obamacare, and never even bothered to, even though they tried to stop it and did nothing but complain about it for the last seven years. There's at least 18 to 20 million on Obamacare that actually need it, regardless of the rates they pay. Granted,they're high in some cases, but trump's so-called repeal would make things even more expensive/higher. And DACA provides a way for only illegal immigrants brought here as children through no fault of their own to earn citizenship by staying in school, working, reporting to ICE about every month, or joining the military. They can't have a criminal record at all,either. Those are the requirements for staying in the program. If they can't fulfill those, I think they get deported. So it's a way for them to earn their way to citizenship. Ain't a damn thing wrong with that.
Also, Obama didn't go in thinking he was a king, or any of that nonsense. Obama had no problem admitting that he didn't know all the answers, and didn't mind calling himself on his own mistakes. And since you Obama haters keep forgetting, he was both a senator and a Congressman for nearly a decade before he ran for president. trumpf is the one who walked in thinking he was Mr. Big S*** and still does---he acts like nobody can tell him anything, even when he obviously knows nothing at all, and won't listen to anyone tell him a damn thing anyway. And what I find disturbing is that he NEVER wants to admit he makes any mistakes---as if there's something wrong with that, like it's some kind of damn weakness or something (which it isn't.) Honestly, trumpf is not even that damn smart. He knows how to put on a good front and say what people want to hear---but let's be real---he is nowhere near that intelligent on the sophisticated level you need to be to make it in politics. And hobnobbing with a group of local politicians in order to buy them off for favors is nowhere near the level of having to do the job of running an actual country full of 250 million people---it is in no way, shape or form the same thing. It's much bigger and much more complicated. Stop trying to give him credit where he dosen't deserve it. Someone actually said that same thing to me before, and I still think it's a bunch of bull****. Frankly, he comes off as more arrogant and loudmouthed, and more of a bully than smart on anything. And, yeah, he's been a racist POS for years--it definitely didn't start with Charlottesville or the campaign. A smart person would know how to cover their tracks, and he obviously dosen't---he thinks he's so above everything that he dosen't even have to.
