Annoying

I am at the end of season one and I am thinking to quit!
So many things that annoy me...
1. It's rarely funny
2. Her voice!!!! Ughhhhh! Her pretentious "Sexy" voice every time she is flirting
3. And the last one, is it possible for a woman to change a boyfriend every each episode? How many bfs does this woman have?
I am not slutshaming or implying anything about her looks but it's not realistic!
There are times that you will be single!

And it annoys me, when writers write an adorable or even sexy character for themselves. Like Lena Dunham.
Yes sure they have flaws, they have to be human, but at the end they have men adore them, get into a fist fight for them, missing their jobs for them.
So portraying yourself so amazing, it's 10 times more annoying whne the writer does that for his/her own self!

I was not a fan of season one, didn't care to see more, but kept watching and now I can't wait to see season 5. It feels like a different show from what it was and new cast members really bring the laughs. The writing really improves too. Mindy becomes more relatable and human, far less annoying.

I don't think Mindy made herself a sexy character out of vanity, she's very much in on the joke. She's dark and heavy and loud, she knows that's not everyone's cup of tea and the jokes are in every episode. The male interests have all been, even if attaractive, "off" as well and I don't think the pairings are unrealistic.

naaaah I stil find it odd that she has a different bf every episode
that can't happen
but if you say it's good I'll keep watching

What the heck being black have to do about this please?!

To find out for yourself you should make two fake Tinder profiles.

One with an average looking white girl and one with an average looking black girl and see how big the difference is in contacts.

That's just how it is.

2nd season is way better. The show got a stronger voice.

You do understand this is a tv show, not real life, right?

For my sense if humor i found sseasons 3,4 really funny. Maybe not pulitzer prize worthy lit, but funny. Sure immature and formulaic but what isn't? All the great comedians are frustrating and self destructive. Lucy, stan laurel, jerry Blank, george costanza. I know how to capitalize but I am on a tiny phone.

Neither Hannah nor Mindy is portrayed as amazing people, I totally disagree with you on that.
There is nothing sexy or adorable about Hannah Horvath. If you think that Lena Dunham was trying to write a character like that for herself you are really mistaken. And men are not exactly chasing her on Girls. For most of the show she has a dysfunctional relationship with a bf who has serious issues.
Mindy is written as someone who is overconfident, which makes her attractive to some, but she is actually quite a terrible person and that is what makes the show funny. Sure she gets a lot of boyfriends, but it's a comedy show. It doesn't have to be realistic and it's more fun if she has different relationships.
I think the show gets worse as the seasons continues but I thought it was laugh-out-loud funny in the first seasons.

1. If you find it rarely funny then you should indeed quit, not much use in watching a sitcom if you don't laugh
2. What exactly is pretentious about her voice? Do you know what that word means?
3. I've seen far less attractive women in real life with the same amount of dates.

I've seen many a show where a man has a different girlfriend almost every week, or every other week, so that's nothing new.
