Yes, it is a fun movie. I give it 7.5/10
The thing is the amount of butthurt people showing lately. Almost a month after its release, and the Trolls/Haters are still twitching for its sore behind like there is no tomorrow. Man, the guys from Prep H. must be doing great business this month.

Why would anyone care about domestic box office when Captain Marvel already won?
CM passed WW in just 16 days. What a shame, a member of the DC Trinity beaten by an unknown third tier character, who hasn't appeared in a previous movie like WW did. Pffffff...
Actually, he only have to really watch the movie and stop complaining over stupid things. Jude Law character spent all the movie asking her to get rid of her emotions, in order to be a better warrior. She was obviously brainwashed. No need to read comics to note that, unless something wrong is with your head or you are a little kid...

Haven't you heard that Disney is not only buying the tickets to their own movies but also the popcorn and drinks for each no show (you already learned what no show means, did you?)? So, the empty theaters are not completely empty, you can take the picture of the Popcorn and Soda in each empty seat watching Captain Marvel. Why haven't you done this? It will make a nice picture...

Ok, then can you give us, instead of just rambling your opinion, what were the movies before The Avengers and Avengers Age of Ultron and how they did domestically. How those two movies fared domestically against Captain Marvel?
In fact, your manipulation of facts are so great you are trying to compare Captain Marvel to Black Panther calling it a pivotal movie. Again pure excrement. Black Panther appeared in a big way in a movie before and was highly featured in the Infinity War trailer, showing the general public Wakanda was a big part of Infinity War. How was Captain Marvel pivotal to the Endgame movie, when the only reference to her was a pager. She wasn't in any other movie or in any Endgame Trailer before its release.

This is the highest opening weekend domestic box office for an origin movie in the MCU and that's a lot to say for a brand that has kept half of the trolls and haters butthurt for more than a decade... For a third tier character that most of the general public did not know a thing? Boycott? Ha, ha, ha... What's next? Wow, you are an ignorant. 25 "no shows" means that 25 ticket buyers (people) did not show to the movie even after spending money on the tickets. 25 people not attending to every show, every screen showing the movie, in 3 days, that's impossible, it is stupid. The MJ knowing Fisk identity is a no brainer. First she doesn't know it was Kingpin who killed Peter. The only ones who know this are the bad guys, Miles and the other SpiderMan. None of them have told her until that point of time. Second, even if eventually she is told about Peter's killer, what is she going to do. She is without protection now, she have to keep his head down and pretend not to know anything because she could become a target. Imagine, she is invited to an event to commemorate Spider Man sponsored by Fisk and she refuses and starts calling Fisk a criminal. She is a dead woman. She had to play along and find some other way later. You know there will be a second movie...

And yes, everything ( I mean the little) DC does good, Marvel just does it miles better. Just leaving the box office aside and thinking about Wonder Woman and all the awards and Critics acclaim. Suddenly, along come Black Panther, with many more awards, better critic acclaim and even three Oscars with even a Best Picture nomination (deserved or not, tokenism or not. Fact is a fact).
I would feel sorry for them, if not for the arrogance and stupidity they keep showing everywhere. I have no sympathy for them as long as Queen, DCArmy and Ironfistwhatever, bubahutt and the others are their speakers...
No need to go as back as IM2. Just watch the opening scene of the original Avengers movie. The facilities where they have hidden and are studying the Tesseract are the PROJECT PEGASUS buildings (NASA/SHIELD Project). It is obvious that Project Pegasus was the project created to study the Teseract. The only thing we do not know is how Mar-Vell found out about it and attached herself to the project.

How is that? Did you know BP was the highest grossing film of 2018 in North America? By the way, the Academy where the Oscars comes from is located in North America, so popularity in China, India or wherever does not count for them.
