New Reports of Empty Theaters at Captain Marvel Add to Movie’s Controversy

We spoke with a movie theater manager who asked for anonymity. He told us they had “exactly 25 no shows for every showing of Captain Marvel on Thursday through Saturday.”

The manager told us this was definitely abnormal, “It’s definitely not normal. People usually show up when they pay for tickets…I’m not sure what it is, we’ve seen big groups not show up before, but they get refunds.”

I asked whether or not these tickets were purchased in bulk, but that information isn’t available, “I’m not sure if they were bought all at once because Fandango doesn’t give us that information, but exactly 25 no shows for every show is probably statistically impossible.”

25 no shows out of how many sold though?

And that does not equate to empty theatres, does it?

More ridiculous agenda pushing...and from an anonymous source as well.

The average screen has between 100-250 seats, ranging from small rooms to big ones. That would make a range that could go from 10% to 25% of no-shows per showing, depending of the size.

Wow, you are an ignorant. 25 "no shows" means that 25 ticket buyers (people) did not show to the movie even after spending money on the tickets. 25 people not attending to every show, every screen showing the movie, in 3 days, that's impossible, it is stupid. You have an Idea how many showings a movie like this have in a multiplex per day? No, you probably do not...

The idea is stupid and whoever believes this is beyond stupid. Well, at least we now this forum is full of idiots (OP better example of this), so that's what we got...

I am still waiting kuku to tell me how many actual seats were sold for each of those performances.

If you can prove only 26 were sold then you will have successfully made your point.

For example, if say 500 seats were sold and only 425 people showed up, 25 didn't.

If you can't, then the answer you are looking for is ' I don't know', if it helps you out.

Where does it say only 26 were sold? It only says there were 25 no shows, it does not say how many tickets were sold overall for each of those performances.

Also, as I said earlier its an anonymous source, as are the other claims from random people on that website.

I know they are trying to claim Disney are buying up the seats, but they are going to need better proof than this.
