Thanks!
When in a manic state, someone who is bipolar will often have risky behavior--gambling, drinking, driving recklessly, spending extravagantly, and engaging in escalated sexual relations. There's little to no thought of consequences, only what feels good and fun in the moment.
Yeah, it seems cool, but it's pretty awful to be around when the wheels come off.
Christopher Morcom was a real person who died of bovine TB in 1930.
Don't feed the troll.
I've seen every MCU film in theaters (and enjoyed them overall), but I honestly never felt any interest in or empathy for the BW character at all, so I'm drawing a blank on this one. I'm not saying it's warranted, but for some reason I'd be more interested in a Valkyrie or Scarlet Witch film.
Totally agree on 1 and 2–I had really expected the scraggly guys to show up and off Howard at the least expected moment.
Never could get into The Wire, but those others are my absolute favorites. It's hard to get H:LOTS these days, but I have a digital rip of all 7 seasons that I cherish. Love your list.
It’s already gone from my local theater. I was kind of interested actually, but apparently it didn’t have enough legs to play on through the holiday season.
You're welcome! We only just watched last night so it was fresh in my mind.
I believe the delay was due in part to what the mother said about being ready to move to a new place where she and the surviving daughter could live together and have a good life and new memories. Both indicated that they wanted to bring the victim's remains (now recovered) with them, to somewhere beautiful, so they could visit her. But that would have to wait until they knew where they were going and that was settled. Having lived in England and moved house, that's not always a quick process! :-)
Thank you! Much appreciated.
I can’t remember if I saw a glimpse of the bear in a promo shot or read someone mention it, but I *immediately* wanted to know why the hell there was a bear there.
This raises the question for me, not having seen the film yet, of exactly how the bear stuff plays out. Is it killed off screen? When the boyfriend is wearing the skin, is it obviously him wearing a bearskin or does it seem like this is an animal and then you figure out there’s a guy inside?
I know that seems weird to ask about, but I really like bears, and it wouldn’t bother me as much if it was killed off screen and then was completely inanimate from then on. (I know, I know, people hurting doesn’t bother me at all.)
It wasn't perfect, but I've definitely watched much worse that didn't get this kind of wave of negative reviews. I've wondered if Avengers: Endgame coming so close before it has shifted expectations. The X-Men franchise never seemed to have the best scripts, structure, or acting, but they were always entertaining to me. And I was entertained by Dark Phoenix even as I mentally rewrote lines and wished for some casting changes.
That’s it! God bless, thank you. I had somehow thought it was something like “Working Girls,” but that was too close to the earlier “Working Girl.” Glad to know I’m not completely bonkers.
After I told my future husband that I didn’t really want a ring, he got me a feckin’ AWESOME sword with an edge sharp enough to whack off Godzilla’s toe. And that’s when I knew he was the one for me. :-)
No, as you note in your subject line, it's a flerkin. (Or rather, a flerken as spelled in the comics.) :-)
Weirdly, I've never really liked the Black Widow character. I kinda should because she aligns with a lot of things I usually enjoy in movies and comics, but the character always felt dialed-in to me. For some reason though I really enjoy Scarlet Witch, and even though I have no idea what you would build around her for a solo movie, I have more innate interest in that.
Oh my God, YES!!! And forgive me, but her Russian accent was easily the worst I can recall having personally heard in a movie. (I was a Russian major, lived there, worked for Russians....it was awful.) Flashbacks, the horror, the horror.
Yes, and in some ways Olympia had the life experiences of a pampered Disney princess, but in a sweet way. The Hello Kitty toy part actually got me choked up, thinking of a world where little kids can’t be innocent and have toys like that.
No, there was a scene of people using a FaceTime/Skype program on a phone to talk.
