Just finished season five
And, wow! This season has now cemented this in my top five favourite police shows of all time. it’s so well done, it has to be seen to appreciate it properly.

shareI would include Murdoch Mysteries, NYPD Blue, The Wire, Bosch, Luther, CSI, Waking the Dead, Columbo, Forensic Files, Det som goms i sno (the truth will out, Swedish).
(maybe Hill Street Blues, haven't seen it in a long time.)
Sadly I have not seen The Shield.
Started watching London Kills and it's really good.
Never could get into The Wire, but those others are my absolute favorites. It's hard to get H:LOTS these days, but I have a digital rip of all 7 seasons that I cherish. Love your list.
