Which movie do you think is the best of '94? The Shawshank Redemption, Pulp Fiction, or Forrest Gump? In my opinion, it's Forrest Gump.
shareSo many great movies came out in 1994. I love all 3 of these movies, plus Leon, Clerks, and Ed Wood. I'd put all 6 of those movies in a 6 way tie for 1st.
If I had to choose one though I'd go with The Shawshank Redemption.

2. Shawshank 8/10
3. Forrest Gump 7/10
How about combining Forrest Gump with Pulp Fiction. FOrrest Gump could tell people "I'm going to get medieval on your buttocks".

Pulp was the most timeless but I can imagine that Travolta may have regretted turning down Gump.

shareHanks deserved Best Actor for Forrest, but I don't know if the film should have won Best Picture.
Between these 3, I think it's tight between Pulp and Shawshank. I rank them equal

Pulp Fiction is very good for what it is, a fun ride.
Never watched Forest Gimp in full, but from what I have seen it looks absolutely dreadful, that tacky American guff.
