Pulp vs. Shawshank vs. Forrest
Which movie do you think is the best of '94? The Shawshank Redemption, Pulp Fiction, or Forrest Gump? In my opinion, it's Forrest Gump.

Check out IMDB ratings and number of vote counts for each and if you still not convinced, "Get Busy Living or Get Busy Dying"

Pulp Fiction, Forrest Gump isn't that good.

I liked Forrest Gump when I was like 8 lol. It hasn't aged well for me since then.
Pulp Fiction is easily the best. But Shawshank comes as a close second just for its ending.
As other people have stated, Pulp Fiction will win on a PF board and I don't disagree.
I enjoyed Forrest Gump when I watched it in 1995 but have had no desire to revisit it.
Shawshank was a movie which I only discovered a couple of years later and has been since hailed as one of the 'greatest movies of all time.' Don't get me wrong, I loved it and I have watched it several times. However, thinking about it, it all seems a little bit cheesy - Morgan's narration, the clichéd bad guys and the feelgood factor when Andy settles into prison life and ultimately escapes. By the way don't get me started on that rock pick.
Pulp Fiction on the otherhand is a masterpiece. You won't find another movie like it and if someone asked you what it's about you would find it difficult to give an answer which is convincing enough for them to go and watch it. If you have never seen it, you are missing out big time.
It infuriates me when people label QT's movies as being all about violence. The guy is a genius and, for me, the greatest director of the modern era.
In summary
1. Pulp Fiction 11/10
2. Shawshank Redemption 9/10
3. Forrest Gump - 7/10
