Hell no.. it is a very dramatic depiction of the life of an American teenager
Hey, it’s 2022 and women can have cocks! 😂
In all fairness, most awards are given out due to politics these days.
I liked season 2 but it wasn’t as good as season 1. It doesn’t help that the main relationship(rue/Jules) I don’t give a shit about
“Very disturbing”
Oh please, you cannot be that disturbed or bothered by this movie lol..
1-Christmas vacation
2- vacation
3-Vegas vacation
4-European vacation
Vegas and European vacation are not in the same ballpark as the others.
I don’t even really include the modern sequel Vacation with the guy from the Hangover. It’s a fine movie but just doesn’t fit with the others
I don’t think it replaced a Christmas story - NLCV is just a more adult christmas story. Both are great - I don’t see either being topped anytime soon
I love the original - it’s sad that they just cannot make a truly great and memorable Christmas movie these days. It’s like they can’t think of any new ideas
Damn you said it. Most movies these days cannot even keep me interested enough to where I finish it.. barbarian actually kept my attention - so rare for modern movies
Sadly I notice the “agenda” messaging pretty much everywhere in tv and movies now. Barbarian wasn’t too bad with the messaging so I could still enjoy it but I really miss the days of watching movies without such strong messaging
There are women in America that are so indoctrinated by feminism that they truly think women are treated worse in the west than anywhere else in the world 😳😳
I don’t think it sucked and it tried to recapture the charm of the original but it doesn’t quite get there. Most of the humor did not land at all and they went way too heavy with the “member berries”.. could they not write new scenes?
Agree, I think the movie was mostly just ok. There was some charm and I liked the way they treated the “old man”. That said it was brutal when they kept giving us the SAME scenes that we saw in the original. 1-2 homages would have been fine but they put way too many in. Can they not create any new scenes? The bullies again? Really?
Btw why did they bother with the “former quarterback” turned alcoholic character? He added absolutely nothing and he was not needed at all
I don’t know but was disappointed she didn’t come back. I don’t think the actress they had play her fit that role
I give it a 6.5 out of 10. Much of the humor didn’t land and they relied way too much on “member berries”.. it’s worth watching though
I’d give it a 6 or 6.5. I really wanted to like this more and while it did have some charm — it relied entirely too much on “member berries” from the first film. They literally copied the same plot devices from the first movie. I liked seeing the old characters back though . I’d say about half of the ‘jokes’ just did not land well at all and I felt cringe during a few
Btw what was up with the “former quarterback” character? He was not needed at all in this film and I don’t know why he was there - his character wasn’t interesting or funny at all
Yeah I give the writers credit for trying something new but ultimately Ends fails on many fronts
Lol at the entire town getting together to drive Michael Myers to the junk yard .. this really doesn’t go well in the Halloween universe. This is something you might do with Jason Voorhees
In all fairness McBride is very funny when he writes comedies but his brand of humor is so Ill suited for the Halloween universe. Every time the movie tries to build tension they insert a very odd and lame joke in there and the tension dies
You nailed it. Ends centered around an Antifa member and it was dreadful
Halloween (1978) was simple but a masterpiece. Carpenter wrote a rather simple story of a masked killer that escapes the mental hospital and stalks babysitters. It wasn’t filled with gore and didn’t need to be .. the tone and theme was very creepy and it still holds up 40 plus years later
I don’t envy modern horror writers. We have seen every plot design and trope a million times before .. most of us are beyond desensitized so it’s difficult to budge horror audiences
The Halloween franchise is done and has been since Halloween 4..
Hollywood seems completely unable to write new horror icons
I was equally as confused after finishing it last night. The writers in this trilogy are pretty much opposed to everything I want in a Halloween movie. I give them credit for trying to do something new but they failed miserably. I was laughing at scenes that I shouldn’t have been laughing at
