"There will token deportations only. The border will not be secured. Trump's big business buddies rely on a steady flow of cheap and easy to exploit labor to keep their costs low and profits high."
This is what I'm thinking. I think there will be the token deportations that you mentioned and probably some small success with stopping people from coming in. It will be just enough that he can claim he was successful, but not too much that businesses get mad at him for taking away their cheap labor supply.
I doubt there will be any serious punishments for employers. That seems almost too sensible. If any administration in the past, including Trump's, had aggressively gone after businesses who hire illegals then the number of people coming illegally would have dropped. If there is no work here, then most wouldn't come.
I'm thinking that Kreese will find out that his girlfriend from pre-Vietnam is actually still alive and he will reunite with her. Daniel or Johnny will somehow be involved in helping him discover this. Kreese will then no longer want to be enemies with them and will wind up helping them in some way.
I completely agree. Dream sequences in any show can be annoying, but this is over the top. Daemon has done nothing this whole season, but he is getting a ton of screen time. The dreams are just pointless filler.
It's about 5% as good. HOTD has a much smaller cast with far fewer storylines, so it is just less intriguing. I feel like season 2 doesn't even need 8 episodes. This story could easily fit into 2 or 3 episodes.
Early in the season Daemon went to a rundown old castle and demanded the loyalty of its people. Since that time, he has literally done nothing. He has had a lot of screen time, but it's just pointless flashbacks and talking to some witch lady about nothing interesting. Get on with it already.
Last night's episode was by far the most interesting episode of the entire series so far. I had found the show to be very slow but last night it seemed to finally get somewhere.
I think it is mainly because Trump is the candidate now. Bush was despised by Democrats for most of his presidency. He keeps a low profile today though, so people aren't reminded of him often. Also, most people under 30 are too young to really remember the Bush years.
Fair point about the adoption. I posted this before watching the whole thing.
The family make up remained absurd throughout the series.
Correct. As long as Pennsylvania, Michigan, or Wisconsin don't do this then it is really irrelevant.
While I am not a fan of Trump, I do think the people should have the right to decide if they want to vote for him or not.
I would say it's a prequel to Gene Wilder's based on the look of the Oompa Loompas.
