Why do Americans hate Trump more than Bush?

The Iraq War cost Americans 1.1 trillion dollars! 4400 soldiers die.

I know the USA has a population of 330 million, and you don't care about the death of merely 4400 soldiers, but... 1.1 trillion! Imagine how many good things the money can do to the people.

So... why do Americans hate Trump more than Bush?

reply

Because they hate him on a personal level. They think he's a shrewd and disgusting man, mainly because of the lefts propaganda machine against him. Even though he's the better choice for President (better economy, secure borders, low crime rate, better world relations etc.) they still won't vote for him. They will never get past it. They would rather see this country go further into chaos under the Biden cabinet's disfunctional pro-criminal, mass spending, open border policies then see Trump in the White House for a second term. It's pretty selfish if you think about it.

reply

"shrewd and disgusting man"

I'm sorry, nothing is more "shrewd" than lying to the voters that a country had WMD, we need to spend 1.1 trillion and 4400 lives to start an illegal war. The Iraq War was illegal, even the UN and Vladimir Putin said it was illegal. For Christ's sake, even Bush admitted it's illegal just a few years ago.

And nothing is more "disgusting" than Bush's double standard: We can have WMD, USA has more WMD than any country in the world, but other countries can't.

reply

Democrats and Republicans voted to go to war with Iraq. They all saw the same intelligence reports as Bush.

The US gave Saddam WMDs in the 1980’s.

"Earlier today, I ordered America's armed forces to strike military and security targets in Iraq. They are joined by British forces. Their mission is to attack Iraq's nuclear, chemical and biological weapons programs and its military capacity to threaten its neighbors." Bill Clinton - 1998

The hate of Trump being more than the hate of Bush, is based on TWO factors, imo.

1. Trump is MORE of a challenge to the left's narrative than Bush. Bush didn't really challenge the status quo. He pushed his personal agenda, and policies, but he never challenged the Left's dominance of culture. And He built a base around WORKING CLASS and MIDDLE CLASS whites, groups that the political elite, especially the left side of it, considered... problematic and pretty much just wanted to ignore. That really upset the left.

2. Trump just came later in the game. The trend, even before Trump, was of INCREASING polarization and conflict. Even if JEB BUSH had won, the trend would have been for the lefty media and culture machines to demonize him even more harshly then they did GWBush.

edit: Good question, btw.

GwB was a Neo Con but he still got a disgusting level of hate from partisan news outlets like MSNBC. In hindsight he wasnt that great of a President but his opponents were way worse.

reply

Democrsts did the same thing to Bush. The cutting off his head symbolic displays. Calling him Hitler. Saying he wants WW3. He wants to starve grandma, and children.

Granted they didn’t weaponize the DOJ, he was still one of the DOD’s own, so he was protected.

This has been the intellectually bankrupt Democrat party/media rectum approach to politics since Nixon.

They did it to…

Reagan
North
Bush
Thomas
Bork
Gingrich
Dole
Bush Jr
Mccaine
Romney
Ryan
Trump

Democrats leadership can say anything. Their media rectum will parrot it from hate night tv to Good morning American. ABCNNBCBS. Their supporters are lemmings who lack the ability to think for themselves.

Remember, it only took a few months to have the entire Democrat voting base believing nuclear war is good, and men can have babies.

reply

All very valid points.

reply

I think it is mainly because Trump is the candidate now. Bush was despised by Democrats for most of his presidency. He keeps a low profile today though, so people aren't reminded of him often. Also, most people under 30 are too young to really remember the Bush years.

reply

its called TDS.

reply

Oh, probably cause the Iraq War literally had trading cards.

Bush made me change my mind about being a Republican. Trump made me change my mind about the Republican Party having any redeeming qualities at all, as they follow his sociopathic, narcissistic ass like lemmings. He's also dangerous to the fabric of this country, which Bush never was. He may have been dumb, but he was never unpatriotic.

reply

Dude literally blew up the World Trade Center.

reply

Not literally, but like I said, "He may have been dumb.'

reply

Because Democrat lemmings have the memory retention of about a week.

Don’t worry once Trump is no longer a threat to Democrat power, the entire Democrat media rectum apparatus will turn its guns towards the next threat to their power.

And then all hate night TV will have Trump on and laugh it up and it’ll be, he’s a funny guy. Why wasn’t he like this when he was running for office yada yada. they’ve done this with every single Republican in the last 50 years.

Keep in mind that we also didn't have smartphones or social media back in 2001 (all we had were simple flip phones and prototype versions of social media, like message boards at the time, and not everyone used them), in addition to the media being still center-left at the time. That, and the WEF wasn't pushing as hard to put one of their own agents in as president at the time. They were too busy having the CIA start a war and letting Bush get blamed for it, despite his declaration of war being supported by both sides of the political aisle at the time. Bush also never said a word against his critics, nor did he publicly fight back, because he was part of the establishment and playing along with the game they'd set up.

Trump was the wild card that caused all of them to go completely nuts. The Establishment completely lost their shit and literally had the press start a propaganda war against him, in addition to brainwashing half the country through social media into hating him, simply because they were told to, using a number of lies that sounded believable to anyone stupid and left-leaning enough.
