The Iraq War cost Americans 1.1 trillion dollars! 4400 soldiers die.
I know the USA has a population of 330 million, and you don't care about the death of merely 4400 soldiers, but... 1.1 trillion! Imagine how many good things the money can do to the people.
The Iraq war was a horrible mistake and it was based on lies. The dollar cost was far more than $1.1T, more like 3T from what I've read.
It's unforgivable.
But we can evaluate Trump on other criteria, too. He is a threat to democracy itself in a way that Bush was not. Bush had some respect for our nation. I think that what he did in Iraq was what he really thought was in our best interest, even though he was very wrong. It wasn't for himself. What Trump does is almost always for himself.
Bush actually had some human decency to him that Trump does not have. Trump got into a name-calling match with the wife of a fallen US soldier who was ambushed and killed (in Niger, I believe). He showed her no respect. In contrast, when Bush went to Dover AFB for the return of the bodies of US soldiers killed in Fallujah, one of the wives started yelling at him out of anger. He stood there stoically and took it. Didn't talk back. Let her get it out. When she stopped yelling and broke down in tears, Bush hugged her till she finished crying. I don't have much respect for Bush but I respected that. You will never see such a thing from Trump.
Not just the war in Iraq, Bush agreed to torture prisoners! Name-calling with a wife? I'm sorry, there are no comparisons to starting an illegal war and torturing prisoners.
Trump wanted police to beat American citizens. I doubt he would give okay to torture enemy prisoners.
I was just giving one comparison of their custards in a similar circumstance. I think of Bush as a decent person who allowed the people who groomed him for office to do terrible things. He was just a stuffed shirt.
Trump is rotten to the core. His public acts of kindness are purely transactional. You do something good to him, he may return the favor. He gave over control of many things to outside extremist groups (the federalist society) in order to get support from party power brokers like McConnell. His worst intentions were blocked by people around him who weren't quite evil enough to allow him.
The key word here is "wanted" but Trump never ordered police to beat citizens, that is just your imagination, we don't live in a world of Minority Report, and we don't judge someone for the crime they might or might not commit.
What is the worst thing Trump did? Did he cause the lives of 4400 people? Did he waste the tax payer's money of 1.1 trillion?
