He probably worried about what goes around comes around meaning at some point the anti-trumpers will get bit on the butt by their own dogs. Something that you should be worrying about. That kind of demonstrated wealth would be reserved for the top level of the mafia. Street guys would have no such compound or toys. Like what was said above the credibility is seriously stretched on that show. Statistical bias. The only people who would watch it for more than a couple of episodes are those interested in crime dramas to start with. Most likely not a significant percentage of the population. The same could be said for other niche products such as religious themed shows or foreign based sports shows to name a couple. IMO what I call sound tracking or what is referred to here as period music did very little for me in the way of enhancing the story or action. Sound tracking for the most part is marketing for the music industry. The same goes for American Idol and similar shows. They want you to buy product and could care less about how well a contestant can cater-waller through a known song from decades ago. In movies about the only time sound tracking worked was in Forrest Gump which was nostalgia themed to start with. At its worst it is an audio pacifier for people who can't think for themselves. A high point of the series. I want to see him fly a Corsair and sing the Black Sheep Squadron song along with the surviving cast members. I would say it was Muldaur herself. Like I said above she was old school and part of that was getting a scene done in a couple of takes. Supposedly, Spiner and a couple of others loved to freewheel while shooting which bothered Muldaur. I can see this. Kind of like high school but all over again. Attractive person she will be nicer and give more time to. Otherwise expect your encounter to last at the most for a few minutes. As Sirtis got older her looks overlapped but at many points in her life there was little resemblance in my mind to Leeves. Roddenberry also had a professional admiration for Diana Muldaur which helped grease the skids for McFadden's departure following Season 1. Repeat appearances on the original show were very seldom but Muldaur appeared twice. I had heard that Muldaur was somewhat old school on the set which gave the impression of her being remote with the other actors. Also, my impression was that Muldaur did not want to be tied down to a series. The above post is a first class example of projectionism. Just change to Trump where it says Biden and Biden where it says Trump plus a couple of tweaks and you will see the essence of the poster's position. Hysterical much? They are planning more show trials. That was a pretty big deal back then. Something that young guys compared notes with other young guys to see if they ever had such an encounter. The pinnacle being at a drive-in movie theater. I was just trying to say that not everyone makes the grade when training to be a combat soldier. The Marines would have a use for such a person not only to paint or mow lawn but work in the motor pool or be a cook. Travis might have had a fair grasp on physical training but he most likely had deficiencies that kept him out of combat. In those days the bar was set rather low for recruits unlike today. I grew up less than an hour away from a major military base that was a major cog for the US during the time of the Vietnam War. My mother knew civilians that worked there. Not all service people got sent to Vietnam in those days. The officers knew the limitations of the enlisted personnel and some were only good for painting walls or cutting grass. Some of those people stayed in one location their entire time in the service but most were moved around. There were security priorities there and it was important that certain people got moved around so there was little chance that security issues would happen because people got too comfortable. Command always wanted guards to worry about their fellow guards blowing them in if they got lax in procedures. Anyways, Travis could have served in a non-vital or non-crucial capacity during his time in the service. The more intelligent among us see that but I can also see with many it IS about drug glorification. Very weird as I was just checking out his profile on this very site just a few weeks ago. His Star Trek episode Errand of Mercy had just aired at that time. He directed a very talented group of actors including John Abbott, John Colicos, and William Shatner. There are people who lash out at society using means up to and including murder. Drowning the girl was not lashing out by the monster but simply lacking intelligence to work through a situation. If I had to guess that is how most sexual assaults come to be. Yes. He has issues of social acceptance like many people. Unattractive. Limited intellect therefore prone to being bullied. In some ways the 1931 movie was a teen movie well before the teen movies of the 1980's.
