Good thing I have you here to make my points for me.
What is Cobra Kai's mantra??? "Strike First. Strike Hard. No Mercy."
Miguel started the brawl. Striking First.
Miguel had Robby beat. Striking Hard.
Miguel shows mercy and releases Robby, allowing him the opportunity strike him in a way that severally injures him. Oops.
Cobra Kai is an all or nothing deal. Miguel tried to do 2/3, and suffered the consequences. Let me break this down in a way you might understand.
Option 1: Miguel doesn't get involved in Sam/Tory, or he helps Robby break it up. He doesn't get hurt because he chose the nothing route.
Option 2: He does start the brawl, but doesn't let Robbie up. Instead he finishes the fight, and walks away victorious. Expelled and probably going to Juvie, but victorious. This is the 100% Cobra Kai way.
Option 3: Starts the brawl, but shows mercy to Robbie, and gets injured for it. This is the middle of road way, and the worst possible choice.
Kreese's message is "No Mercy". Johnny was trying to keep all of the other Cobra Kai mantra, but with "Some Mercy". Miguel tried to do it that way got hurt, whereas had he shown no mercy he would have walked away from that fight victorious.
If you're going to do things the Cobra Kai way, then you better go all the way with it, including not showing mercy. You can't pick and choose what parts you want to follow. That leaves you vulnerable.
Disappointing because she was another character who was in an interesting position at the end of season 2. She and Miguel were the only Cobra Kai's who didn't buy into Kreese, and she was fiercely loyal to Johnny. So I don't see her staying with CK. Which means they will all turn on her now, including Tory who she was friendly with. And will Sam be willing to forgive her and be friends again? And if there is a Myagi Dojo in the future, will they let her in, and who will she feel about Robby.
I have a feeling it will be stated that her parents were freaked out by the rumble, and pulled her out of that school and into a private one, and no longer want her going to Cobra Kai.
(2) Then at the tournament, during their moment of triumph, the police raid them, and they're all arrested, except Miguel, who put a hidden camera in his bag and caught Kreese ordering the robberies, and others admitting to them. The tape was enough evidence to get a warrant on the dojo, and the police found all the evidence while the Kai's were all at the tournament. This all part of Daniel and Johnny's plan.
(1)Tory has to get expelled from school, and possibly face charges from the LaRusso's. I was hoping she would have disappeared after the brawl, and not even her fellow Cobra Kai's would have known where she was. Then she would make some big dramatic return sometime in the middle of the season. However after a rewatch I saw her in the dojo with Kreese at the end. She was to the far left of the room, and her face is only shown once. Perhaps she will start the season in Juvie, and then return.
Robbie might be more interesting. Does he get expelled from school? He didn't start it, and was acting as a peace keeper, until attacked. However he did continue the fight when it could have been over, and he severely injured someone and could have killed them. I think ultimately Daniel speaks on his behalf and he is reinstated. And eventually lets him come back to live with them.
Miguel does recover, and eventually returns to karate. But Kreese gets in his ear, and points out that it was Johnny's mercy that almost got him killed, so he turns his back on Johnny and rejoins Cobra Kai. He wins the All-Valley Tournament again and everyone is so happy for him, not realizing that he's basically a bad guy again.
Daniel goes to Okinawa and finds out more about the Myagi family. He regains his focus and returns bound and determined to defeat Cobra Kai. He recruits Johnny to help him, who has been in a drunk haze ever since the brawl. When he first goes back to the dojo he's thrilled to see that Sam has been leading a class of Aisha, Robbie, Demetri, and a few of the others.
Cobra Kai runs roughshot over not only the school, but the whole town. In order to help Kreese make his rent payments (this was not addressed by the way. Why would the landlord make this deal? Kreese was homeless, why would you trust him to pay his rent on time instead of just keeping Johnny?) They begin doing petty theft, and mugging people.
Exactly. Miguel got hurt because he was trying to do things the "New Cobra Kai" way, and showed his opponent mercy. Had he done things the traditional Cobra Kai way, he would have choked Robbie out, and left him unconscious on the ground. Instead he took the middle of the road way, and was seriously injured.
I'm going to give benefit of the doubt that she's not stupid, and she knows where attention is going to go when a woman with her figure wears a dress like that. But that was on her personal Instagram. If you feel like you NEED to tell her she has large breast (not sure why you would need to. Pretty sure she's aware of them.) then do so there. Not on an AT&T commercial where she her shirt is buttoned up to her neck, and she's not doing anything to draw that kind of attention. That's a funny thing about women. Sometimes they want that kind of attention, sometimes they don't.
And if by some miracle, she was turned on by some guy posting a comment on her breast, using the term "milkers" or anything similar would probably kill that real quick.
Wouldn't you be creeped out by any guy who uses the term "Milkers." I'm a guy and I'm weirded out by someone using that term, I can only imagine how she feels when she constantly sees that.
And it's not like she's doing anything to draw attention to her chest in any AT&T commercials. Just because she has photos and other acting jobs where she does accentuate them, doesn't mean you can endlessly harass her about it when she's not. Especially when she's in the middle of an Instagram video asking you not too.
They were jealous of each other:
Jackman was jealous that Bale was a legit magician, while he was only an illusionist. And no matter what great trick he was able to come up with, Bale could always top it. Including in the end.
Bale was jealous of Jackman's showmanship, and no matter how great the tricks he came up with, he couldn't present them as well as Jackman could, thus he would always be the bigger the star. Also half of him was jealous that he had Olivia.
Anyone who is truly a fan of hers should be thankful that her father had conservatorship over her all these years. If not for that, she would not even have the little relevance she still has in entertainment. She definitely would have pissed away all her money on really dumb stuff, and might not even still be alive.
Whether she has bipolar disorder or not is the least of her mental problems. Her biggest problem is that she's an idiot. She has the intelligence and maturity of a 13 year old, which is probably why she connected with that demo for so long. Watch any interview or situation where she isn't reciting some scripted answer, and actually has to think. Even when the interviewer wasn't being that hard on her, she would just go blank. Whenever she was left alone, who knows what disaster may come, i.e. Jason Alexander. Her family just looked at her and realized that if she was going have any future, then someone else needed to control every aspect of her life, just like with a child.
Odds are none of the actors will ever do anything bigger than GoT (Momoa being an exception). It was one of the two biggest shows of this decade, and possibly ever. Someone can have a long and great career without topping the show, but that wouldn't mean they didn't do anything.
One of the great advantages that these actors have now that wasn't around in the past was all the streaming services who are also making a lot of their own content. This creates a whole lot more opportunities for actors to continue working on projects that will be seen, and maybe get lucky catch on with something that's a hit. As you said, Madden has done well so far, in part due to two Netflix shows. Pedro Pascal has a hit now with The Mandalorian, and was also in Triple Frontier with Affleck. I've also seen Benjen Stark in a show, and Stannis playing King Longshanks in The Outlaw King.
They're the same person. Selina just has power and fame.
Yes I think Karen would have been killed.
My question is: What was Jimmy's plan after that? If a couple hours went by, and Karen didn't come home after meeting with Jimmy, Henry would know something was wrong. And at that point, why wouldn't he go to the FBI with everything he had. Henry was the one they needed to kill. Karen probably wouldn't have anything significant to give to the Feds.
And why would you ask Henry to go kill some guy in Florida after that? You were obviously going to kill his wife, and you never asked him to kill anybody before. No matter how coked out Henry might have been, even he would be able to see thru that.
I've done way to much research on this.
10 teams in the league, everyone playing 14 games. Top 8 teams make the playoffs. Panthers forfeited already.
Thru 12 games:
1) Hawks 12-0, 24 points
8) Huskies 1-11, 2 points. Most likely they beat District 5.
9) Ducks 0-11-1, 1 point
Since they only play 14 games, each team will play 5 teams twice, and the other 4 once.
When the Hawks forfeited their 12 wins, The Ducks would gain 1 or 2 wins. Unfortunately for the Huskies, they were about to play the Hawks when Banks was pulled off the ice. So at best they would gain 1 win. If the Ducks and Huskies each gained one win:
The New Standings
7) Huskies 2-10, 4 points
8) Ducks 1-10-1 3 points
9) Hawks 0-12 0 points.
Assuming The Hawks win both their games without Banks, the final standings:
7) Ducks 2-10-1 5 points
8) Hawks 2-12 4 points
9) Huskies 2-12 4 points
Hawks hold the tie breaker over Huskies, since they split their games, but the Hawks won by more goals.
"The Child" is 50 years old. That puts its birth more than 20 before the events of The Phantom Menace. It could be offspring of Yoda and a female of a species. Or it could be a clone of Yoda, with his DNA having been secured while he was on Coruscant or any other planet doing Jedi business. Or its just an unrelated member of that species.
Just One Of The Guys and National Lampoon's European Vacation came out the same year as this, so its possible that he wasn't available for this one. Which is to bad because this role was right up his alley at this time.
The Mob guys outnumbered them, ambushed them, had weapons, and those were their toughest guys.
Drago HAD to knock Rocky out in the last round. Yes he probably would have won in an unanimous decision but he had already lost the respect of the Soviet leadership by allowing this tiny American win the respect and hearts of Russian people. By not knocking Rocky out, and especially if he avoided Rocky in the last round, he would come out of that fight in a lower status than he was before it, despite having won. He would have won the battle, but lost the war.
He would have been a legend in the state of Alabama just from being an All-American for the the Crimson Tide. Then add in being a war hero, and all the rest, and he would have been royalty in that state.
He would have had some notoriety across the rest of the country for going to China to play Ping Pong at that time, as well as being the running man. But I don't think he would have been super famous. When he walked down the street in New York, maybe some people would recognize him, but he wouldn't get mobbed like a movie star.
Something else that Norman would have in his favor would be that he lived in a small town where everyone knew him, and Sheriff also knew him and was friendly with him. It's possible the sheriff would just take Norman at his word, and not do a very thorough investigation. He wouldn't see a need to check the fruit cellar, or ask questions like "Why did Arbogast enter the house in the first place?" or "Who repeatedly stabs an intruder, especially after they fall down the stairs?".
