Playoff seeding
There were 10 teams in the league, with the top 8 making the playoffs. The Panthers got the measles, and forfeited their season. The Ducks tied the Cardinals, then beat the Huskies, giving them 3 points versus the Huskies 2 and earned the last playoff spot. But one thing that doesn't make sense is that they didn't play the Hawks in the first round. In most standard eight team tournaments, the top seed plays the last seed in the first sound, then 2 vs 7, 3 vs 6 and 4 vs 5.
My theory on why this happened: The Hawks had to forfeit every game Banks had played for them. Assuming they had two games left, they still won both games and made the playoffs as the 7 seed (they would have two wins vs the Ducks 1). That explains how they ended up on opposite ends of the bracket.
