Oh ok, it's not your math skills that are the problem, it's your reading comprehension. Let me break it down for you.
The movie takes place in June 1984.
Lets assume Axel and Jenny are the same age, though I would think Jenny would be older since she's in a higher position at the art gallery. But lets split the difference and call them 25.
84-25 would be 59. Meaning they were born in 1959.
Of course these are just possible numbers. The original question was how could a young black detective and a white lady who runs a Beverly Hills art gallery be from the same Detroit neighborhood. I was just showing how it could have been possible at that time. Hope it wasn't too far over your head.
People seem to have lost the ability to consider time and context when deciding if they should be upset by something.
For example "Not that there's anything wrong with that." was fine in the mid 90's. Someone could say that without being homophobic. And gay people weren't offended when they heard it. Today is different. You wouldn't say that without upsetting a lot of people.
I would be offended and lose a lot of respect for Jerry and Larry if they apologize for that episode. If they said they wouldn't do an episode like that today, that would be fine. But saying you regret doing it then would be ridiculous.
Which math? I would be happy to explain it to you in simpler terms if you need.
Hollywood Logic:
If you can help my career I will protect and defend you no matter what you've done, or how much evidence there might be.
If you can't help my career in any way, then you must be cancelled and should never work again, no matter what you're accused of or if there is any real evidence against you.
Or he's smiling thinking about all the money and fame, accolades he earned by wearing that dog collar and chain while playing a character that he created and was beloved by fans all over the world.
Sean Penn movies that I can name off the top of my head:
Dead Man Walking
Milk
Mystic River
Casualties of War
Colors
I am Sam
Carlito's Way
Movies that I remembered he was in after I looked it up:
Thin Red Line
We're No Angels
Secret Life of Walter Mitty
The Interpreter
The Game
I've never even heard of Nicholas Cage's last 19 movies. While it is still impressive how many movies he's taken a pay check for, I think we still have to consider quality over quantity at some point.
If you're comparing him to Arnold or Sly, then yeah he didn't become a super duper mega star. But very few actors do. But if you look at his career as a whole, he was incredibly successful. Especially when you consider he wasn't traditionally trained as an actor. He actually played in the NFL, then got into acting when that ended. Most actors.... of all races..... would kill to have a career like his.
Let's give her the benefit of the doubt that the "Reward" for the dogs is part the cop's plan to catch the guy who did this. You got to believe if someone calls her and says they "found" her dogs, the police would trace the number or figure out a way to trap the person.
Barney Gumbel
Left, right, MIDDLE!!!!
So now you want to lock him out of rooms in his own house?
And he probably figured Greg wasn't smart enough to remember to lock the door, which again was a concern that was proven valid.
He didn't know they were living together.
Well Jack and the grooms father did walk in on Greg and Pam getting frisky, so I guess it was a valid concern.
Two possible explanations:
1) He was damaged. His arm may have been inoperable at that point and required repairs, and his human eye was a mess and probably making it impossible for his robot eye to see, so he had to remove the human eyeball.
2) He still didn't know what kind of weaponry the police had at this point in time. Remember earlier in the day he had asked the gun shop owner if he had a plasma rifle. As far as he knew they had enough fire power to further damage him and make him unable to complete his mission.
You think there's less nudity in movies now???!!!! LOL
Even if that were true, which I doubt, you can find plenty of nudity on tv now which wasn't the case in the 80's. And there's also this little innovation called the internet too fill your need for titties.
Well, at least they won't have to worry about Amy packing on pounds in between seasons like Gina did. She's already done that.
And also in case they want to make her someone relevant to the Karate Kid universe.
He's Tory's father.
That's why Kreese is so dedicated watching out for her and keeping her around. Dutch had a legit nasty streak to him, even more than Johnny. He was the only original CK who didn't try to pull Kreese off of Johnny at the start of part 2. He even turned his back to them. Wouldn't surprise me if he was the only one who stayed with Kreese after the All Valley Tournament. Perhaps Dutch started teaching Tory karate when she was young, and she also inherited his mean streak.
I feel bad for the other cast members on this one. Excuse me for speaking ill of the dead, but Dustin was known for being an asshole and a liar. Everyone that worked with him after SBTB would attest to that. And he never hesitated to take shots at his former castmates with stories that may or may not have been true. It's hard not to blame for not inviting him to any of the reunions or for the new show. Even if you forgive him for the book and everything else, he was just a nightmare to work with.
But now he dies tragically young, and you're forced to say nice things about him, even though we know you still hated him, because otherwise he would have been on the show. But you can't say nothing because that would make you a jerk as well.
It was shortly after they buried him. The Hill's arrive at a family gathering, and Paulie pulls Henry aside to ask him about it, and says Batt's crew are driving everybody crazy looking for him. The scene after that is when Jimmy tells him they have to move the body.
