Disney Announces Cara Dune Will Now Be Played By Amy Schumer

Gina Carano has been removed from her role as Cara Dune in the beloved Disney+ series The Mandalorian. Disney wasted no time in filling the role, with Lucasfilm execs quickly announcing that the part will now be played by comedienne Amy Schumer.

"The last actress who played Cara Dune was toxic and problematic," said Kathleen Kennedy. "So we're now filling the role with a stunning and brave actress who stands for everything we do: goodness, truth, beauty, pronouns, love being love, and mercilessly destroying anyone who disagrees with us."

Many fans expressed concern that Schumer won't do a good job in the role, but Disney spokespeople were quick to remind their audience that anyone who cancels Disney+ over this is a Nazi and in danger of losing their job. "If you want to show you're not a fascist, you have to keep giving money to a megacorporation that hates you. If you don't do that, you're already on your way down the alt-right pipeline."

Sources claim in season 3, instead of punching bad guys, Amy Schumer will kill them by just doing her standup comedy.

Well, at least they won't have to worry about Amy packing on pounds in between seasons like Gina did. She's already done that.

Why replace her? Cara Dune could have been written out at any time!

It's easy to write her out now, just have Mando run into a fellow bounty hunter and ask how his old pal Dune is doing back on Nevarro, and he hears she snuffed it after drinking two bottles of spotchka and thought it'd be a great idea to go swimming in the lava river.

IF JAMES GUNN IS ANY INDICATION...THEY WONT WANT TO BURN THE CHARACTER BRIDGE,JUST IN CASE THEY WANT TO BE THE "BIGGER PARTY" AND HIRE HER BACK LATER DOWN THE ROAD.

Yeah, they could also tease a return by having Mando ask some other bounty hunter how Dune is, and hear that she's settled down on Nevarro and is fat and happy.

The odds of that are good, Disney HATES controversy, and that's why got rid of Carano. She obviously courted and enjoyed it.
