The Praetorians had already left when they came to get Maximus. Then they may spent all night taking him in the opposite direction. He may not have known right away which direction to go. Also his injuries may have been a factor at that point. He may have needed extra rest, and not been able to maintain the breakneck pace he started at. Also as others have mentioned there were times when he was barely able to stay conscious while riding. His horse could have wondered off in the wrong direction. The bridge could still be useful to the Americans, and make it easier for them to move troops quickly, as we see them doing at the end. While it wasn't as important to them as it was to the Germans, it still could provide value if intact. Blowing the bridge was a measure of last resort. They would have rather the bridge not exist than to have it under German control. They set the explosives on the bridge early because they weren't sure when the German attack would come and wanted to be ready in case it came before their reinforcements arrived. When Captain Miller arrived, he helped them set up a plan to fight off a German attack, with blowing the bridge being the back up plan. No. This movie would never get made in 1960's Hollywood. And Rick wouldn't have taken a part like that when his career was going good. He didn't start becoming the bad guy until things started drying up for him. So you want Kyle in 1984 to write a book and do lectures and seminars about how he is from a future where the machines have wiped out most of humanity, and he was sent back in time to warn everyone??? Best case scenario for that would be him being looked at like how most reasonable people look at Alex Jones. Just another crazy conspiracy theorist, who is trying to profit off peoples paranoia. He would have a small cult like following, but ultimately be written off as crazy or a con man. Even if the things he were saying did come true. And he wouldn't have all the knowledge of the chain of events that lead to judgement day anyways. We only learn about Cyberdine and Dyson from Arnold, who was probably programmed by Skynet with that info. Most records that humans could access were lost in the war. But most likely he would try to stop it and just be locked up like Sarah was. Skeletal remains may have still been in there, as well as parts of the raft or Alex's bathing suit. Non meat objects would probably take much longer to process in a sharks digestive system, if ever. Most likely the license plate had been in there for a long time. I don't think it was literally 13 year old boys. She was exaggerating because she was upset that the producers listened too much to the test screening audience who she felt weren't smart enough to follow along with the plot. So the director panicked and reedited it to make it just a simple slasher movie that didn't make that much sense in the overall arch of the series. I wonder if anyone in the test audience suggested that she not wear granny panties for her underwear shot early in the movie? That might have been the one to to listen to the audience about. Worth noting that Polly is also at the house. Perhaps she was good friends with Mrs. Kitner and over the years she told her that the Brody's were good people, and not only was Alex's death not Martin's fault, he was the only one who did want to close the beaches. Add in Martin twice risking his life to kill the sharks, and eventually she forgave him, and became close friends with the family. Just watched this on Prime with the trivia turned on. And actually had a question I always wondered answered. Why was Jane the only girl who kept her bra on during the graduation scene? Turns out that Leslie King was topless for an extended scene in the Great American Girl Robbery, which came out earlier that year. She didn't like doing that, and decided not to do more topless scenes, even though she was already set to do this movie. The producers agreed to let her stay in her underwear, hoping she would change her mind later. She didn't. Shouldn't he be dead? He was on the sail barge. They were sloppy. But that was kind of the point of it. On top of all the things listed above, but they had 3 more people who they assumed were dead, but weren't (Randy, Dewey, and Gail). Randy for sure could have verified that Billy shot him, and that he was running from Stu who he thought was the killer. Gail also still had her camera rolling in the living room. And most of all, when he look at Mr. Prescott, they would see tape marks on his lips, and bruises on his wrist, indicating that he was bound. There would also be duct tape marks on his clothes. But they were probably banking on a small town police force being so overwhelmed by this crime scene that they do very little investigation, or a sloppy one at that. This was the same police they easily fooled a year earlier with one murder. Now imagine them trying to investigate 7 murders. bin Laden didn't seem to notice when two helicopters landed inside his compound. One of them even crashed. Rocky always wanted Mickey to train him. And when he got the Creed fight, he knew he needed Mickey to not only train him, but to organize the rest of his corner for him, like finding a cut man for him. However he never liked how Mickey had treated him the last 10 years, and he was especially hurt by him not only taking away his locker, but the verbal undressing he got when he confronted Mickey infront of the whole gym. So figured he wouldn't ask Mickey, Mickey would have to ask him, and make nice with him. However, when Mickey showed up at Rocky's apartment, with his hat in hand, the things he was saying and the way he was acting legitimately upset Rocky even more, to the point that he forgot to agree to have Mickey train him. Maybe it was that Mickey wasn't very apologetic, or that he was trying to convince Rocky to ask him to be his manager. So Mickey leaves without a deal being made, and Rocky blows off some steam, before coming back to senses, and coming to an agreement with Mickey. Perhaps that was the only real weapon he truly knew how to use. And he was wasted. Yes, why is he the NEW target. He should have been a target of theirs for over 30 years. I remember there being a good buzz for this movie even before word spread of Brandon Lee's death. Remember this was pre internet, so a lot of people probably saw this movie not knowing about what had happened. Add in a great mid 90's soundtrack, and this movie would have been a hit regardless of Brandon Lee's death. Lee would have come out of this movie a much bigger and more recognizable star. But it's impossible to know what his career would have looked like after. It would depend on what roles he took, and how much he wanted to work, and how much he really dedicated to his craft. She was really skinny in that. I always assumed that was intentional, showing that all the women in Johnny Sac's life have eating disorders, with hers going the opposite way as her mother and sister. "I don't know Chief. This shark is either really smart or he's really dumb." Using Quint's own assessment of the situation, either Jaws was smart enough to realize that the Orca wasn't going anywhere, and he could sink it by lunging himself on it. Or he was dumb enough to continue attacking this one little boat that could kill him, rather than catching some easy dinner. Along with his oversized body, perhaps it has an oversized brain, giving it more intelligence and problem solving skills. As well as an enlarged medulla oblongata making it more aggressive. Key word: Better. Not good, or even funny, but better. Perhaps they went from terrible to just bad. All I want to know about Ahsoka is when and how does she die. We now know that she was alive thru the OT, and after the fall of the Empire. But she was dead by Rise of Skywalker, because she was one of the voices speaking to Rey. And it wouldn't make much sense for her to still be alive, since all the other voices were dead. Ok, thought of a second question. Why did she never seek out or contact any other surviving Jedi? Did she ever find out that Obi-Wan and Yoda survived? And certainly she must have heard Luke Skywalker's name, and wondered if there was a connection to Anakin. Especially after the 2nd Death Star was destroyed and Luke and Leia were now legends in the galaxy. Lisa Eilbacher was born in 56, meaning she was 28 in this movie, if we use your logic of just assigning everyone their actual age. So maybe their families were neighbors and even though she was older than Axel she was still friendly with him. Again, I was answering the question of how Axel and Jenny could have grown up together in Detroit at that time. But since the idea of Eddie Murphy playing a character that was a little bit older than he was in real life seems like too much of a stretch for you to believe, lets go with your idea and say he was born in 61. He still could have been from the same neighborhood as Jenny, since as previously stated, white flight out of Detroit didn't start until after the '67 riots, and really didn't pick up steam until the early to mid 70's. 1959 qualifies as late 50's, which was what was previously stated. Thus answering your question of how somebody could be in their mid 20's in the 1980's when they were born in the 50's.
