54 old male and I loved it.
I just have to roll my eyes at people complaining about what Johnson did with Luke. His character arc was fantastic and complex and made Luke more sophisticated than he had ever been in the previous films. He never used to be my favorite Star Wars character, but now he is.
The film had stupid plot holes, but I'm used to that kind of nonsense in Star Wars--they are not a flaw unique to this one. My only real complaint was that the Finn/Rose side plot was boring and went nowhere. If he had taken out about 20-25 minutes of that crap, the film would have been much leaner and more effective.

Apparently the only thing that would satisfy your type would be a completely calculated balance of genders and behavior. That's not how art works, that isn't how nature works, that isn't how anything works. Asymmetries are perfectly compatible with a commitment to equality. And I don't think anyone who truly understood or "supported" equality would have made the thread you did. I'm not buying it for a second.
No doubt if the entire film had been populated by strong male leaders, like in 99% of everything in the history of film, you would have made a thread whining about that, too. Right?

MovieChat appears to be the biggest of the two IMDB archived sites I know of, by far.
There is also TheMoviedb.com, which has boards by movie/tv show/talent, but did not archive threads from the original IMDB. It seems to be fairly active.
Then there is imdb2.freeforums.net, which has mostly general topics but a fairly active community. I don't believe you can even browse that site until you register, otherwise it is closed off, or at least that's what I hear.
There are some users (like me) that appear to be posting on two or more of these sites on a fairly regular basis.

The movie has its flaws, but I have yet to see an intelligent complaint from a single fan that would justify condemning the film or thinking it sucked. All I see is whining from people who seem to have the collective insight of a swarm of gnats.
Johnson is the best thing to have happened to the franchise since Kasdan became involved. Kennedy and the other powers that be recognized this, which is why he will be the future of Star Wars. Grow up and deal with it.

Kennedy, Johnson, and old time fans like myself apparently get what Star Wars is and should be about. You simply do not. It is that simple.

I knew some sack of excrement would have a spoiler in the title out of zero consideration for other users, so I've avoided this place like the plague, because your type is a plague. How people like you live with yourselves is something I'll never understand.
The problem is that so many boards popped up when the IMDB forums shut down that the community got diluted between them. This isn't the only archived IMDB site out there.

Even if you did watch the first ten minutes (unlikely since it hasn't been released yet), not enough develops in the first ten minutes for a rational person to make a judgement.

I loved the show, but if you don't like the main actor and are the sort who'd be bummed if there were a lot of dialogue, this isn't for you.

Sound design, especially. It would be a complete snub if the Oscar's didn't recognize it for this achievement. This is an aspect of film-making that rarely ever gets addressed, but I lost count of the number of reviews which made a point of praising mother! for its sound.
You never saw the movie, you never will, and it would go right over your head if you did.
His character, ultimately, treats everything, including his wife, as a thing that can be replaced.
