nobody talks like that in real life, if you want natural dialog watch Luke Cage (or The Wire) Eh, i think Reynolds was FAAAAR worse in Blade: Trinity tbh I'm a HUGE fan of the comic series that this iteration is based off of, and i TOTALLY agree. They completely dumbed down these great characters from the comics (especially Mantis). They were pretty much straight faced action adventurers in space. But Gunn turned them into dumbed down goof balls. Tbh i look at ALL the tv shows as "secondary" canon, kinda like how Star Wars treated their expanded universe. It's canon until the mainstream films says otherwise. Either way the tv shows probably won't say anything one way or the other, because imo they're technically in their own universe in a unofficial sense. To be fair black widow's movie is rumored to be a prequel, but general i agree with the OP, most of those characters aren't going to stay dead. This would be different if it was The Walking Dead or Game of Thrones lol. Some of the show's problems can actually be traced back to the source material if we're honest with ourselves. Kirkman refused to explore the zombie apocalypse itself because he felt it would ruin the concept. So what you're left with is human villains. The comics might have handled the pacing better, but ultimately it was the same storytelling. A YouTuber said the same thing when she reviewed the movie. I got so caught up in everything being Marvel flavored i didn't even notice it. But yeah, Hulk was definitely not Hulk. Because of state's rights and all that jazz. At least in regards to marijuana. I came to this board to ask the exact same question lol I dunno man, nobody actually anted a SOLO film. People wanted a Obi Wan film, or a Mara Jade film. I personally wanted more films set in between Episode 6 and 7. But nah, here's a half backed Han film in stead. Basically you're saying she's not threatening to female viewers?? Built a overreaching story arc before they made this new trilogy, Give Finn a real purpose, by actually making him a hero. I have no problem with the first Order challenging the Republic, but having them be a massive force over night is a huge cop-out. I would have made them competitive to the republic but i wouldn't make them stronger than the republic More action, because everything seems to have been done just to be anti-climactic. Including the action Give the light speed ram death to General Akbar. I would have written Laura Dern's character better, or at least make the conflict between her and Poe more understandable. Dialed back the weird humor. Make Phasma the actual bad ass she is hinted to be Really bruh, you couldn't enjoy it on it's own terms you had to be that guy instead?? over a movie...LMAO Clair was a CORPORATE lawyer. And according to the show a SUCCESSFUL corporate lawyer. She alone puts them in the lower bracket of millionaires... at least. They're definitely at least a step above "upper middle class". I don't know man, Rihanna was cute before she became out of shape, and drugged out. I was the one who originally posted this. I wasn't referring to the pandemic angle itself. I mean duh there's tons of movies with that concept. I'm specifically referring to the style and framing of the film. TBH i think they're related in name only type of situation. It doesn't help that Joss and Anthony Mackie said they're not in the same universe. Them saying that gives off a huge red flag tbh. If you're segregating the tv-verse from the film verse you're basically cutting off the MCU branches so to speak. Calista Flockhart. They tried so hard to make her sexy on Ally McBeal. She was dressed in short tight dresses but they still looked 2 sizes too big for her because of how slim she was. It's hard to tell, but that seems likely. Because that's ALL Marvel do. Infinity War is not gonna change that.
