Ideas taken from World War Z?
i can't help but think that some ideas and concepts might have been taken from the book World War Z, or at least a spec script for the film.

shareI doubt it. These world epidemic movies are hardly a novel idea. In fact it's practically a genre.
Seriously. Decades of apocalyptic and epidemics films and you think WWZ was the first?
shareApparently the OP has never heard of The Andromeda Strain. (The original movie, based upon the Michael Crichton novel, released in 1971. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0066769/?ref_=nv_sr_2 I think we can safely agree that this movie EASILY predates WWZ or any of the current zombie crap.)

^ I was going to post the same thing ssllaasskk but you beat me to it >_>
shareI was the one who originally posted this. I wasn't referring to the pandemic angle itself. I mean duh there's tons of movies with that concept. I'm specifically referring to the style and framing of the film.
