No, I am in the end stall already. Go find your own stall. ;0)
Hahahahaha
Excellent.
Thanks Culburn. Now you have made me all nostalgic to watch MG again. I will have to dig up that DVD from somewhere.
It was really exciting to hear the gunshots ricocheting in stereo. Wow the wonder of it al. Now, there is no sense of wonder anymore. It's like, new technology to do this or that, and the reaction is ok, big deal. We just accept is now.
Haven't seen the alternate ending so can't comment on that.
I did but in our case here it was 18 (from PG, 12, 15...). One I remember seeing was Enter the Dragon.
Because McKenna's Gold (MG) was the first western I ever saw and fell in love with Westerns to this day. I love almost any western except John Wayne's. I just can't stand the guy.
Anyway, as I was a little kid, I just loved all the cowboys & indians stuff in MG. Loved the stereophonic sound which was new to our theatre. Not forgetting, the nude swim of the Indian squaw which made the heart beat too fast.
Coming to present, I have seen MG so many times now that I still find it enjoyable. Yes, now I can see background projection, etc. but it still bring those warm memories of my childhood back (wish I could be that child again).
Don't about the favourites but these are the movies I have enjoyed and watch them on TV either by choice or when flicking channels & it is on.
Goodfellas
Casino
Dave
While you are sleeping (my wife loves it too)
The Shawshank Redemption
McKenna's gold
Roman Holiday
Yellow Sky
Star Trelk II (Wrath of Khan) - I have watched it so many times and Spock dying still gets me.
One thing I have noticed in the last few years is that I am finding difficult to watch B/W movies which I loved before. I can't think of a reason. I just feel like switching it off. Perhaps, something to do with my eyesight (it isn't bad at all).
I like how you think young man. ;-)
Overrated trash.
Agree completely. After that there was no point to the movie IMHO.
It's because of you they went out of business. ;-)
Ghostboy: You take that back about Better Call Saul otherwise I will see you in the car park. ;-)
For me, one of the best shows ever. I love slow burning shows and it is just up my yard.
Star Wars and all its lousy sequels.
I was teenager (just the right age) when it came out. Saw it & thought ok. Tried to watch it again on TV and couldn't get past the 20 minutes. It is terrible. All the sequels I have at least tried to give a chance (apart from the last two movies that came out recently) & can't stand any of them.
Games of thrones - I don't know what the fuss is all about. That's all I will say.
SO am I. I loved BCS - perhaps even more than BB. With BCS, I just record all the episodes and then watch them later. I know it means no spoilers, etc. during its live broadcast.
BB I watched something like 5/6 after it aired originally. I only came on to BB thru BCS. The BCS board was raving about BB so I decided to give it a go. I watched the whole 5 seasons in about a 6 weeks or so. I didn't quite so much like S5. They could/should have ended after S4 where he dies saving someone, etc. I just didn't like that they killed his brother-in-law (but there are consequences to him going bad). I loved the two main characters but liked all the main characters too.
Thanks will definitel check it out.
Have you seen The Villianess? One hell of a movie that one.
Not really but Alien:Covenant takes the cake. I was extremely disappointed with it. I liked Covenant and therefore was looking forward to this one. It was just a bad bad movie and especially coming from Ridley Scott, it was so disappointing.
Thanks.
I have seen OldBoy and The Yellow Sea. Loved them.
I will look out for Takashi Miike movies.
BTW: I loved The Villianess. Wow. The shots were fantastic.
I totally agree on Alien:Covenant. Really bad movie with no story, no suspense, nothing. You could see everything a mile away. This is one movie after Robin Hood that I am really disappointed with to do wth Ridley.
I would go 2/10.
Thanks for the correction on Radius. I don't know why thought it was Aus/Kiwi.
Agree with MOTOE being a disaster.
[b]Week beginning 5/3/2018.

Murder on the Orient Express (2018)
Enjoy is not the right word. It was okay to look at but that's about all.
Spoilers ahead:
How he came to the conclusion he did where e******e werel involved in the murder was never explained. Just were.
Rating: 5/10
Baby Driver (2017)
Finally got round to seeing this one and don't see what the fuss was all about. It is okay as movie but nothing exceptional.
Rating: 6/10
Radius(2017?)
Australian/Kiwi sci-fi movie about death/life within a radius. Very intersting premise and almost executed perfectly. Slightly annoyed with the ending but it is not bad.
Rating: 9/10 - Highly recommended.
