Its 2024 now and I just saw the film and totally agree with you.. They all went to sleep and I took it as she was dreaming that event because of the details you stated.
I loved Fish tank. The main character had more layers than Rosetta in this film.
Film sucked
I liked it too..Just saw it tonight. I learned about the history and the settings and costumes portrayed the time well. Glad it was a film and not a series.. It was just the right amount of time.
Thanks for posting this
It certainly educated me on the history of these events. I liked it very much.
Valid question.... I took it as she wiped out everyone to keep Theo since her son passed. I dont feel she killed her own son.
I agree it couldve been better...and to let Celine stay in the house after her husband passed away was kind of ridiculous since she was suspicious of her for a long time.
She only knocked him out,,,, to kill his parents.. She never tried to kill him.
My only wish was that they kept the original actors and just aged them instead of replacing them. You will see what I mean. Nonetheless it was a beautiful series.
Just finished the last and final season 4.. Its one of a kind and I will remember it for a long long time. It made an impact on me..Not like most of the films these days where I forget about them within a few days. This was exceptional.
your comment cracked me up. I agree.. Ok so I liked the series. It was well made. I have 2 things that annoyed me though. The fact that they let in visitors when the boy was critical and that the staff was very lax in the boundaries... and second, when Robert the lame husband never picked up her call while their son was in critical condition but it gets worse..... He never called to tell her HE WOKE UP. I was pissed thinking she would take him back, as sorry as he was.. so glad she left him at the curb. OK rant over. (I was going to make my own post about this as to not hijack yours, but alas I am a bit high and the words just flew. )
Watch the Truman Capote one. I didnt think I would like it but it was so good. I never paid much mind to Capote but my lord that series had me hook line and sinker. The women that were in his circle were depicted perfectly. Come back here for your review of it if ever you watch.
Yes absolutely The whole handcuff situation was far more interesting as the true story than what they depicted. Off topic, but I wasnt happy he was killed in prison. A deep case study was needed on him. If its true that his brain was not granted to science, thats a major loss on understanding more of how he ticked.
I like your take on this film. Very articulate. Saw it for the first time tonight. The character of Elio was very convincing. He is very talented. Oliver (arnie) didnt strike me one way or another. The family dynamic was rare to say the least.
Thanks for the link... yes some facts were changed for example he gave that sandwich to another neighbor. I guess they lumped that in along with other things on his next door neighbor. But I think most facts were depicted correctly. In fact I thought he got stabbed, but I read it happened the way it was shown in the series.
I never saw your comment until now but thank you. I just finished it tonight and it was really good. some are saying some facts are twisted so I gotta do some research now. So far I finished dahmer, menendez brothers, Fued bette and Joan and Feud Truman capote. I think all from the same director.
I hate when they twist the truth. This was a real life situation. If its to be credible they need to stick to the actual facts.
I agree with u. Bundy seemed like a creep the second I saw his photo
I thought he got stabbed. Now I have to go research what really happened.
