Only because it reflected the OT much. It's a scene looks and feels fine because we see Yoda and Luke, with Yoda's theme and whatnot. But it has no weight at all. It's a nostalgia candy.
Anyway, at first Yoda looked pretty much weird. Kinda comical i guess. So couldn't done him right as well. Also he acts like he did when he played weirdo just to trick Luke back in TESB. And it makes no sense other than another nostalgia factor.
And to top it all, as a force ghost he controls lightning. And it's another huge question mark, cause if a force ghost had such power, then him or Obi Wan, Anakin, anybody else could have easily gone fight against the first order or any dark force.
And don't even mention the burning down of old Jedi relics. It's only because of Ruin J's obsession of erasing the past. But it doesn't make much sense regarding the lore.
So as much as i wanted to love the movie and that particular scene. I have to say it's just another huge FAIL.
Good point.
It can't be a hallucination, because his daughter showed him the storm before he could notice.
1) Jurasic Park
2) The Lost World
3) Jurassic World
4) JW: Fallen Kingdom
5) Jurassic Park 3
The first is obvious. I think the second still had some of the magic of the first, with an amazing soundtrack, and Goldblum saves the weaker parts of it as well. JW was ambitious, but flawed; still i appreciate the try. JW:FK was a huge disappointment. Pretty much of a remake of TLW, but on steroids. Not as creative, and the new characters are absolutely 2 dimensional. It's a wasted opportunity for me, and i believe it'll critically destroyed, thus will have a great effect on the future of the franchise. JP3 was a half baked, directionless mess. Though some parts of it were enjoyable.
I honestly don't have high hopes on the 6th movie...
I agree.
It's kind of like this:
Solo...R1...........EP7..........................................(∞).........................................EP8
But it's sad, how they fucked up the saga. Solo and R1 are ok/entertaining movies, but they aren't needed to be exist at all. EP7 started to grow on me after i was neutral first, but after TLJ i just don't want to see it again. Ever.
You should boycott Solo and EpIX as well. Therefore changes would be made before they could make Rian Johnson's trilogy. It has to be stopped.
IMDB rating should follow that as well... I'm checking it every morning and waiting for another drop like the coming of Santa Claus.
I think it deserves about 3.2, but yeah, the reality is around that. Is Imdb already owned by Disney or what?!
It could have been good, but it's another joke. Like there's a joke in every scene in the movie. Actually this scene sums it up well. It want you to believe that it's something serious, it starts to build on that premise, than BOOM! GOTCHA! it's another joke. As Rey says: "seriously?" - Just what i'm thinking.
Note: i liked these island natives, and seeing R2 and Chewie with these nicely made non cgi creatures soften my heart a bit.
What actually makes me more sad, because it shows there was great potential in this movie, but fails to deliver. This scene would have been good (and could have been stayed) IF the rest of the movie was good and not fully joke-driven.
Actually it would have at least make a little sense.
Yeah. It was a good idea but failed to be staying in the Star Wars narrative, and steps into fart joke territory just like the whole movie. :(
In the prequels there was a lot of over the top cgi stuff, but at least those made some sense storywise. Here it seems they forced it into a "story" without reason, or only to add another lame fable, that rich people are bad, etc... and the most embarrassingly, they even fail with their message, cause the characters freed the animals but left the slave children...
Ruin Johnson was trying soo hard to be correct, but fails to deliver a good movie.
So in the end it's sad, but it's even worse than what the prequels did.
At fucking last...!
I'd be satisfied with a 6.8 rating. Considering there are lots of brainless people loving it.
Good idea, but only if you have a time machine too. :\
Where's the fucking like button?
You know what? I would ignore Johnson, only speaking to Laura Dern, and be soo enthusiastic about Jurassic Park! :D
Yeah IMDB also seems to be stopped counting votes...
Yeah, the premise was very good. The whole setting, the beginning, Cusack was great, but the entire schizo plot was working against all these, like an "it was all a dream", and practically it was.
It reminded me of that other Cusack flick, 1408... I like the guy a lot, but he seems to be wasted all the time.
Yeah, it was lame. I wasn't too impressed with the actual "twist" either.
Funny, but sad at the same time. Makes the movie look so easy to correct before releasing. Just one sane man should have watched the product would definitely pointing out the evident flaws of it.
