Star Wars Fans Are Never Happy
Move Along
shareSure they are...when presented with something worthy of the emotion π

shareTrue. Most fanbases are never happy in some cases but that said, The Last Jedi was trash so how can you blame the majority of fans for hating it and effectively causing Disney to change course going forward and perhaps retconning TLJ?
shareI agree. The prequels were considered disappointing, the special editions were unnecessary, The Force Awakens was a bit derivative of A New Hope but nothing killed the franchise like The Last Jedi did.
Itβs a terrible movie to rewatch as well, as the movie relies so much on subverting your expectations (which it can only do once) all the story threads ultimately go nowhere. We have Luke and Rey, on an island, Luke is depressed and doesnβt want to do anything. We have Finn paired up with an unnecessary new character in a plot device chase that goes nowhere, and Poe and Leia in a slow space chase where all they can do is argue and wait to run out of fuel.
Itβs a genuine bore outside of Mark Hamillβs performance.
TFA was SO satisfying, and ROS teaser gave me chills. Never dreamed I'd become a JJ Abrams fan.
shareAre Star Wars fans not happy with The Empire Strikes Back?
Didn't think that through, now did you.
Frankly Star Wars hasn't been great since Return of the Jedi. The Prequel are entertaining in the same way a car crash is entertaining. Fascinating to look at, but you know something bad is happening. Overall i liked forced awakens, But still it was just a ok movie. And i liked Finn more than i liked Rey. I mean i didn't hate Rey, she didn't annoy me, i just didn't care about her. I found Rouge One to be majorly boring and i think the only character i liked was Donnie Yen . Overall i liked solo for most part, didn't care for annoying woke robot. But overall it was fun. I dont hate Last Jedi. But its horribly written piece of crap. I mean its got a whole subplot were Finn and Rose don't accomplish jack shit. Ive only seen that in bad b-movies. Episode 9 might be good. But its still going be a mess of a trilogy. Frankly i don't get that worked up about Star Wars. Because as far as im concerned. Everything outside the Original Trilogy is just fan fiction anyways.
shareThat's not strictly true.
Sure, they hate everything new, but they LOVE complaining and hating! So hating the new films makes them happy, in a way.
