Yes, he was! In the 1970’s I remember attending a taping of What’s my Line. He was lovely.
Yes, but i think they were able to fully establish Mordred’s character without it.
“The 7 Deadly virtues” is really not a good song at all. I think they just had it in the show to give Roddy McDowell the chance to sing. I just learned that several months into the original show they CUT 2 numbers “You may take me to the fair” and “Fie on Goodness.” I was surprised because both of them serve to advance the plot. Maybe it was for time.
He didnt save her from a civil suit at all. All he did was come clean and redeem himself. The creators have said as much. https://www.rollingstone.com/tv-movies/tv-movie-features/better-call-saul-series-finale-explained-creator-interview-1394766/
Bummer. I dont have this channel. But I remember watching this Movie when it was originally on TV and it was TERRIFYING. Especially the last one with the doll. Truly creepy.
Thanks very much. This is super interesting!
Yes- I thought it was really weird that he had no back up vehicle or “Go bag.” That would have been the first thing Saul would have done.
I saw it when it came out in 1984- We all treated it as an amazing film.
I know you meant it as a rhetorical question, but here’s the answer to your Pete Davidson question.
Looks are not everything. Despite his problems with addiction, he seems to have a lot of really good qualities. He is not arrogant. He seems sweet and self-effacing, in fact. This is something you would really look for if you are a beautiful woman who is successful in her own right. Also, Pete has that incredibly tragic back story (dad was fireman who died in 9/11), which just makes you want to comfort him. He also is very close to his mom and sister, so he really seems to understand women.
I’m not sitting here fangirling over Pete Davidson— I mean I am old enough to be his mom— but I can definitely understand why a successful woman would find him appealing.
Yes, she had the moment of realization when she broke up with Jimmy, saying she was “having too much fun!” So very sad.
I must say, I liked the episode “Fun and Games” better than the actual finale. If not for the Gene’s storyline, the show could have convincingly ended then.
