The most cringe inducing moments....

This movie was utter garbage and I was a HUGE fan of the TV show. I cringed at a few scenes including....

* When the girls walked over the sand dune with their camel riding outfits

* The weird karoke scene

* When Carrie stuck out her leg for the cab

* When the Arab women took off their clothes for the girls

* When Carrie came back to the hotel room after kissing Aiden screaming she needed her girls

* When Carrie called Big after kissing Aiden

So many more....

What were your most cringe inducing moments?

reply

This thread is really cracking me up! The Halloween costume comment was hilarious and sooooo true!

My MOST cringe enducing moment hasn't been mentioned yet...

When Carrie flops herself onto the chair and say's " You knew when you married me I was more Coco Chanel then coq au vin".

Ughhhhhh... I just wanna slap her! They totally ruined her character in this movie and made her into such a whiny bitch.

~Oh look... a room full of men that have NO idea how to satisfy a woman.~

things i found cringey:

Liza minell single ladies...wtf? i maybe wouldnt have minded liza being in the wedding if it had been a less cheesy/stupid song though.

The kareoke scene.

Carrie showing her leg to the taxi. and her leg looked very bony and not attractive.

how carrie looked at the gay-wedding, especially the crown thing.

the asian women with the descigner clothes under the black cloak things.

the fact that they made erin be gay. it seemed silly. couldnt they have just kept it that she was straight but that harry just wasnt interested in her?

reply

I still would have gotten an old lady to watch the kids! ha! HE was still looking! ;) She is, like, most married man's fantasy...hot, lesbian nanny! ;)

reply

Yes! And it was like, OF COURSE, the nanny had to be a lesbian! Then Charlotte doesn't have to GROW UP and trust her husband. That was infuriating.

reply

Yes! the nanny "preferring the company of other hot nannies" was such an easy way out. Harry's a good guy, lesbian nanny or not. The braless stuff was over the top. She's a good sized C cup and she's running braless... OUCH! Her girls are going to be swinging btwn her knees by the time she's 40.

reply

She has nice legs. Not everyone can have cankles, tree trunks and thunder thighs and thank god for that. The skinny bashing is really old.

reply

Hands down...the karoke scene.

I wish they would have made all of the movie and NYC.

Carrie's hat on the airplane " And I thought my hat was going to be too much"...uh..it IS, girl..

I have never said WTF so many times in my whole life as when I saw this film. Mostly it was to the wardrobe choices but

~ the dIalogue was funky, " you are crazy in abu-dabi"
~the acting forced at times, Miranda's really giddy attitude, her screaming (woo!) by the pool, screaming out the window of the cab..ugh...
~ Samantha's sexual character is becoming awkward to watch at her age, I mean that black bathing suit with the crystals, jesus woman your in your 50s, there's being fashionable and then there's...that...
~that karaoke scene, would it have been better to chose a BETTER song and just cut it after the first hook..? Weren't we tortured enough with Liza singing with grandmother voice?I LOVE Liza, but she just did NOT sound good here...
~Carrie lifting her leg at the cab...um Samantha was just attacked in the market for doing something similar, let's just see if I can stick my leg out to the thigh and not cause another riot..
~The babysitter that doesn't wear bras...come on...

I think the first movie was way better than this one. Love SATC but this movie was raw...

reply

I actually liked this movie tbh. The only part that made me cringe was the scene with Samantha in the market. She is usually so composed no matter what the situation. The way she was screaming and waving the condoms around made her look like a crazy old lady. She should've have just looked down her nose at them and said one of her usual sneering lines in typical Samantha style.

reply

* Carrie's big hang-up on take-out food

* Carrie's problem with BIG watching TV in the bedroom

* Samantha's vulgar comments to Rich-ard

* Samantha's dress she wore to the red-carpet event

* basically Carrie and Samantha through the entire movie

reply

lisacayers sayeth:
"Samantha's vulgar comments to Rich-ard"
And I REPLYETH:
Oh, come on. Dick Spurt. I thought that it was the one of the most hilarious things that Kim Cattrall ever said in either movie. Class act.:)

reply

* when the ladies are singing karaoke and members of the audience jump in to sing along, INCLUDING one of the soccer players who lifts up his tight tank top to thrust his six pack....WTH??? The lyrics say "I am woman"!!! Why would he do that? Lololool

reply

Man oh man, all of my gripes have pretty much been covered but the one line I just could NOT stand was Charlotte asking Harry to "get me some gnosh, I'm starving" or something along those lines. UGH! I'm cringing just typing it. WHHHHHYYY SATC WRITERS??? WHYYYY?

reply

I cannot BELIEVE no-one's mentioned it yet, but when Carrie's sat on the return plane brooding about Aidan and the stewardess askes if she has anything to declare...... her reply?

"I'm a mess"

WHAT THE FRICKING FRACK??!! It was so cheesy and contrived and fecking AWFUL. I literally shrank back into my seat. And then the stewardess just walked away normally, instead of showing a reaction/expression that said "What the F@CK kind of answer was that???!!"

Miranda being a really really enthusiastic tourist cliche'.

Samantha was like one of those crazy old bag ladies you see in town and avert your eyes from, now matter how amusing they come across.

Carrie's outfit at the wedding made me want to punch her in the ovaries. Not cute, not quirky, not sexy, or even funny. She looked like a man, and not in a good way.

Anthony at the premier "Oh my god LOOK!! It's teen singing sensation Miley Cyrus!!" What is he, a reporter for MTV??!

On that note, the amount of times they referenced it being a "gay" wedding and all the over-the-top gayness. Charlotte in the very first scene excitedly shrieking at the wedding gift lady; "Two of our best friends are getting married..... It's a GAY WEDDING!!" (sic) And the cheap, stereotypical gay jokes littered all the way through, especially those about their servant "Paula Abdul". Insulting and awful.

Sack "Sex and the City," this should have been called "Menopause/Gay jokes in the Desert"
