Totally. And if you watch footage of his Victory tour with his brothers in 1985, and compare it to his Bad tour in 1987/88 by himself, you realise that they were actually holding him back. He wasn't as focused, as dedicated, as in the zone. He really was much better as a solo artist.

The industry joke went that in 1988 David Bowie split up to form Tin Machine (which were ahead of their time with elements of both Grunge and Nu-Metal) and then in 1992 David Bowie decided to reform himself.

I don’t really care one way or the other so I don’t have an opinion.
I just assumed that Beyoncé’s solo career had been well received by the public as she is very successful solo artist, and I had an impression that by now she probably has more hits than Destiny’s Child only because of the time passed that she has been solo and keeps releasing new music so I guess she surpassed them.
She definitely is the most successful of the group. Kelly Rowland did ok but not on Beyoncé’s level. And the third chick, I don’t even know her name, nobody cares about her, so I would guess her solo career isn’t doing so good. 😅
