Never really thought about songs regarding murder, but since you brought it up, the song called Hazard by Richard Marx
It is a beautiful song. It is somewhat vague, but after watching the video I think the sheriff did it.
Yes, just be polite. I am all for live and let live.
The one problem I have is when trans women get all upset when men won’t date them. I have even heard some say that it should be illegal to refuse to date trans women.
But many straight men do not want to date a chick who used to have a d***.
Oh well, I ‘ll miss her smiling face.
But really, if she knows that she cannot be civil to the Trumps, then why push it? Just stay away.
As far as natural bodies of water are concerned, I only go up to my knees. I am a very poor swimmer but what bothers me is when I CAN’T see what’s underneath me or what I may be stepping on!
We used to go on family picnics in the summer to a nearby lake. The water was clean and cold from the mountains. There were fish in the water, frogs, tadpoles,,etc. There was nothing dangerous but I get creeped out when I can’t see what’s down there.
In a pool where I can see the bottom, I will go deeper. But not too deep.
Reading through the old posts reminded me of an Elvis song, his American Trilogy. I can never listen to that without crying. It seems extra poignant because his death was so near. It almost seems like he is saying goodbye.
Thanks fourlemons. That dog was my buddy. It’s been about six years now, but it seems like yesterday.
That’s funny strntz, “Long time ago.”😀
Reminds me of the Toby Keith song, I’m not as good as I once was, but I’m as good once as I ever was.
You mean it isn’t???😳
I saw a sign that said if the Earth was flat, cats would push everything off of it. Sounds like my cats for sure. They have broken a lot of my stuff over the years.
This is waaay too serious a topic to be covered in a place like this. But some simple facts:The Bible is not evil because it records the evil deeds of some people, the Bible records a lot of sin and depravity. But it does not condone it.
The Bible is not a “how to “ instruction manual. It is God’s word revealing Himself to his people. And many people throughout history were kinda bad.
It is not just one book. It is history, poems, parables, instructions, etc.
I am Catholic and if you bother to read any parts of our Catechism you will se there is NOTHING at all which suggests violence towards your fellow man.
If you want to be a non-believer…whatever. I cannot convince you to have faith. But for Heaven’s sake, stop attacking mine (or other people of faith, whatever their religion).
Some songs make me tear up, but the one that is sure to make me cry is Really Gonna Miss You. It is in the Temptations biopic. It is sung by Smokey Robinson at the funeral scene for Melvin Franklin. It makes me bawl every time I see it.
It is partly because of Melvin Franklin’s death and also the loss of my golden retriever! The lyrics say, “Really gonna miss you my buddy, really gonna miss you my friend.”
The song is so sad. I cry for Melvin but I also think of my buddy, my dog.
