Just like real life conspiracies xD
Yep ^^^
I agree with this assessment.
I think he was a faerie that turned to darkness, and wore that helmet to disguise his beginnings from the other goblins. Look how dark his eyes are! Kinda scary. It shows that the world is malleable, people can be corrupted even if they were born pure of heart. Blunder even apologizes and laments his decisions while being locked up as he speaks to the gnomes and faeries, but ultimately he is carried off by that ogre to the kitchen showing that we pay for our misdeeds. We dont see the inverse which is an evil being do anything nice though do we? But maybe that wasnt needed.
The only direct interaction I had with that dude was filled with disdain and condescenion, refused to even talk to me other than put me down. But I will say...I came across one post on here where someone called him out for his anger and the dudes response back was of honesty, humilty, and apology. I was taken aback. Maybe its not all "sh!tposting"? Mostly, but not all?
I ignored some people on here and others Im surprised I havent added them yet. I considered that ignoring too many I might miss some kernel of analysis or perception on a film or scene that will change everything. Give at least some a chance to share an insight. I am optimistic right now
They need to release both together on the same bluray. Like how they have done with other sequels, or just in a collection package in general.
Thank you for the recommendation! I was considering some horror movies to watch as October is coming up!
What does GOTG mean?
I have found that a stationary bike has been the easiest machine on my joints and yet burns a ton of calories and can watch movies while you cycle. Some movies even make you forget you are cycling or make you wanna amp up the speed. I recently watched Bushwick (2017) while cycling and ended up doing 9 miles in 46 minutes.
Edit: One more thing, Ellipticals tend to wanna move toward one side and youll bang the rotating foot platform slightly on its side which is ANNOYING and the cheap ellipticals ALL DO THIS. Whereas a stationary bike will remain level (especially on carpet floor) and its smooth, quieter, and you can find stationary bikes that are not that expensive.
Edit 2: Another thing, I have noticed ellipticals on the sidewalk as trash many many times in my suburbs whilst I have never seen a stationary bike on the sdiewalk as they are KEEPERS.
I was able to find a bluray of Fright Night part 2 at my local media store and bought it for only 25 dollars and the quality if AWESOME! I kind of wish Evil Ed had returned for the sequel, but the wolfman they brought in as his replacement was actually pretty good : )
I do not keep movies I hate purposefully. I've given movies away when I found someone I know liked the movie yet I didnt so I've asked "you want it"? and they have said yes. I'll hold them until the opportunity presents itself to give it a new home. There is one time though where I straight up threw a movie in the trashcan. The movie was called Dogville, and even though the films climax gave some satisfaction it was not enough to overcome the levels of abuse that lady suffered throughout the long film. I got the movie for free from an overage bin at 2nd and Charles, and I understood why it was free after watching it. I considered putting in back in the free bin but decided not to subject another person through that terrible film so I broke it in half and placed it in the trashcan.
I took a two week break between rewatching one and two so the friendship with Bogomil didnt feel forced or wierd to me. The audiences back then waited three years to see the sequel so maybe they didnt mind it either? I'll watch number three hopefully soon, but the part that I remember the most despite not having seen it in many years is when the villain goes "Oh it couldnt have been me I was in my beach house in Laguna". Axel relaxes and goes "oh okay that makes sense, he was at his beach house in Laguna". Axel rushes forward quickly forcing the cops to grab him again Kicking the air at the villains face "I got your beach house in Laguna"!!!!
I dont remember much else except the villains hide at an amusement park and that wacky wierd gun at the end.
The only thing i did not like about Beverly Hills Cop 2 was that Bogomil was absent for most of it ; (
I decided not to "prep" and just watched number 4 by itself. Having not see any beverly hills cop movies for many years, I knew it would give me a chance to judge 4 by its own standing and it was a good enough and fun movie that it had me then going back to rewatch 1 through 3 ^_^ I just finished Beverly Hills Cop 2 and I actually liked seeing the cormraderie and friendship between Bogomil, Axel, Taggart, and Rosewood. Just felt genuine and like they really cared about eachother. Axel Cuddling Bogomils daughter implied a deep friendship that developed these past three years, keep in mind he cared the same way about the art studio friend he knew and acted close with her without any sexual tension. Goes to show Axel is classy and genuine. I can beleive it having seen his interaction in the first film. Also I absolutely enjoyed how Axel made it a point to tell his friends he loved them at the first films ending and also this films end. I think the friendships help solidy these movies as being so joyful.
I agree with you that the villain in 2 ended in a lackluster way guy didnt really hold a screen presence like Victor Maitland did, but boy did I laugh when Taggart walked out after saving Axel by shooting Bridgette Neilsen and emphatically says "WOMEN" xD what a trip! I actually liked the villain from 3 the most, I'll watch the third movie soon and see how I feel these days.
Im going to have to disagree with you as well.
You are being willfully ignorant to ignore the countless films, or protagonists within a film, that were women or minorities that were protrayed as smart capable and good people. Sam Jackson said "Quentin always writes my characters as being a smart person". Speilberg made The Color Purple. C.C.H. Pounder has been awesome and holding her own in pretty much everything I've seen her in. Remember Sigourney Weaver in Aliens? "Get away from her YOU B!TCH"! had audiences fawning!
It seems like recently they have been pushing this rewrite of history that women and minorities have NEVER been treated right or represented respectfully when thats not true. I think they are pushing this as a way to cause division and keep us fighting.
The cross itself is just an object. There is nothing holy about it. Its the Faith in Jesus Christ that gives that cross any kind of meaning. So Peter Vincent knew that holding up a cross would repel the vampire, but he didnt have real faith in God, thats why it didnt work. But Charlie really did have faith in God and thats why his holding of the cross worked.
This happening in the movie tells the audience that vampirism has some kind of demonic connection without having to go into anymore detail. As Jesus Christ let us all know that we can exorcise demons simply by calling upon his name for help.
The movie gives us enough to think about yet doesnt over-explain. It rides the perfect line of awe and intrigue.
The Thing (1982) might apply to your question. Its a normal beginning of winter at a research station in Antarctica until some weirdos show up chasing a dog.
There was a scene last season I think where homelander tells her she can try and see if her ability could work on him, but that if she did and it failed he would punish her. Im guessing his tough body and organs might not actually be affected by her ability.
I like this movie more than I thought I would.
Mr. Robot frequently talks to himself about the dark forces that play behind the scenes, pulling strings and determining fates. He hates it. Which is why he loved chess because theres no invisible hand altering the game. Its just straight up and out in the open the moves are made and you react and move as well. Also near the end of I think the first season there is a subliminal message, a background in the crowd someone is holding a sign saying "Jesus is the Way"! And I think whoever put that in was great. Albeit in the next season Mr. Robot talks out loud about his hatred for religion and atheism beliefs so it gets shot down. But that sign and the camera showing it during a turbulent event was interesting and I enjoyed that.
Some of what you wrote I never heard about. I do like Chess myself and it is a fun game.
I've discussed They Live with other posters here as well, such a good film. Roddy "Rowdy" Piper said once in an interview that its based on a true story. People misunderstood what he said, or maybe he was joking but said it very straight faced. Maybe thats what he was talking about? It is based on a short comic, called "Eight-o-clock in the morning". My favorite Carpenter film is The Thing. But They Live is in my top ten Im sure.
I never saw it, but many see Eyes Wide Shut as outright exposing these elites occult parties and allegiance to darkness.
When I watched Mr. Robot, the main character said he still loves chess because all your actions and opponents actions determine the game. Theres no invisible hand playing a part. I understood exactly what he meant. I sometimes see things that seem hidden or have darker meanings. The music thing is disturbing. Even a film analyzer named Rob Ager on youtube spoke about how some music concerts seem to have purposeful hidden darker subtext to them and that these graphics shown or choreography seem to convey a message not relating to the song at all. Disturbing and weird. Also some songs have hidden garbled messages within them. Made me not want to listen to many pop songs because all those mixed beats can hide things.
Thank you for answering my question, I am a Christian and was a bit worried when I saw your username. But that is an interesting inversion. Theres definitely things going on in the world. I believe if you connect it far enough along the chain it'll end up being ties to the devil. Whether people are doing evil in ignorance or are outright followers of the devil, something is going on. I've had people block me or call me bonkers from some earlier posts I made on this site. Ive gotten to where I mainly post film analysis or join in discussion, When I get into it with trolls I end up just no longer continuing conversation because some people have to be RIGHT as they see it and no amount of arguing will change minds. So yes its good to just stick to love of film and let the other discussions go on without me xD So I do understand.
You probably understand where my username comes from but I can type it out as its much less complicated. I just agree that a scanner does not see us clearly, a scanner sees darkly. And I had recently watched A Scanner Darkly just before finding this site. Philip K Dick is a fascinating man and contributed very much to sci fi. The movie also helped me on a personal level not just the lingering thoughts Ive had and spark of ideas from it. Know how some shows or movies stick with you a long time and makes you think? Even had that happen when I've only seen a movie once!
I'll see if I can find Kolchak and Invaders as your description of both has me wanting to see them. Thanks again!
