Men acting "feminine" doesn't automatically mean they're gay, for one. For two, if anything, maybe it's a step forward in the entertainment industry, showing that not all men are/need to be all gruff and "masculine" to be men. I don't know, maybe times have just changed, and maybe it's not just some comedic shtick for the show. Every time I rewatch that scene I crack up lol Two of my favourite shows. That this thread even exists is somewhat disappointing... Sorry, I was thinking Imminent Death Syndrome. Okay, thanks, that makes some sense then. I wonder if that was just because it was the pilot episode. I definitely prefer the "cocaine" version, because that seems to be where the actual joke lies, and I think it better shows who Gob is as a character. I wish I knew :( "There's always money in the banana stand." I loved the handful of times in season 5 when they'd quote something from the OG seasons and then be like, "What's that from?" The first time one of them did that, I cried laughing lol Shot in the dark here, but do you mean I.D.S.? I think the biggest downfall of season 4 is the fact that, due to scheduling issues and everything, it wasn't all of them together like in the first three seasons. I love all of the characters, and they're all funny, but they're hilarious when they're together, playing off of each other, which we didn't really get to see in season 4. Seasons 4 and 5 definitely have some hilarious moments/jokes/scenes, but yeah, the first three seasons are the legit gold. Since no one else has yet, I feel like I should point out that the title of the show is Arrested Development. I will agree that seasons 4 and 5 weren't the best, but there are legitimate reasons for that. The first three are pure gold, though. Also, I've found that it's one of those shows that gets even funnier each time I re-watch it, specifically because of the many, many layers of jokes/humor they folded in. For instance, once you know that Buster loses a hand later on, you may notice earlier jokes that point to it. Since this was posted six months ago, I'm curious to know if you ended up finishing the show (or at least the 3rd season) and if your opinions have changed at all. Right, only two seasons (so far; fingers crossed) and only six episodes in each? That's just rude :( Another great sketch comedy show is Mr. Show (with Bob and David), from HBO in the mid-'90s. That is one of my absolute favourites for sure. I just heard of and binged it today, and holy shit, I need more!! I wasn't even inebriated, and it was hilarious throughout lol But seriously, I really hope that it continues. Netflix always seems to cancel the greatest shows (usually comedies) after only a couple ridiculously short seasons. *Edit: In looking at Zachary Ruane's filmography on IMDb, it appears that there are a lot more Aunty Donna shows (seasons?) that they did before Big Ol' House of Fun, such as: Aunty Donna: Glennridge Secondary College (2019) Aunty Donna: Camp Bush Camp! (2018) Aunty Donna: Best Content Ever!!1! (2017) Aunty Donna's Ripper Aussie Summer (2017) Aunty Donna: Trendy (2016) Aunty Donna: 1999 (2016) I tried to make those hyperlinks, but apparently this site wanted none of that. He's one of those actors that just keeps getting hotter. *sigh* And now here we are in 2021, and the Mom Jeans are "back in style" :( lol I rewatched this movie tonight and thought, "Wow, aside from the actors being way younger, someone could watch this movie for the first time now and think it was made just recently." Agree to all of this, too!! I haaaate her! OH! And when she first finds out that it was the little boy they knew from church that died in her listing, and she seems so upset because, well, a baby died, and they knew that family, etc. The idea of that makes me cry. But then, through tears, she asks, "Was he on the new carpet?" and "Did they have to break a window to get in?" And I just want to scream at her. Like, she sounds more upset about her goddamn listing than the situation at hand. It's either showing that she was clearly in shock, or it's showing that she's a total cunt. I'm not sure which. But I'm leaning toward the latter. I found this movie on accident some years ago, and I was floored-- I started it over from the beginning right when it was finished. I've watched it countless times since then. The acting was great, of course, but on top of that, what really got me was the cinematography and soundtrack. I'm not a movie reviewer, so I don't have all the big fancy words for this and that, but this movie definitely stuck with me, that's for sure. And those cars!! I think I kind of took that line as her saying that she wasn't "innocent and pure" by choice, like because she had high standards and "self-respect" or something (like Cam was probably assuming), but that she was innocent and pure by default, because she was only 15. You're right. When we first see his picture, it's a wider shot, and he's holding the Gluttony drawing. When she notices it and we see a close-up of it, the drawing he's holding is of goblins around a campfire with a tent in the background. So, yes, presumably she's just realizing that the drawing styles are similar to those of the Seven Deadly Sins pictures they'd found in an earlier episode. But when she gets out her massive phone and compares the pictures, it's the wider shot again and he's holding the Gluttony drawing, which is the same picture she's seeing on her phone. So yeah, they messed up in a few different ways there. Yikes, dude, you're a real piece of work, aren't ya?
