I came here hoping to find a thread about this topic. However, I much preferred the first actress. As another commenter said, she had a more soft, ethereal presence, which just seemed to fit better with how Monk saw and described her. Melora Hardin just had the completely wrong face (to say the least), in my opinion. Maybe it's from knowing her mostly from The Office, but she just seems to have "Resting BitchFace," as they say, and that really ruined it for me. If they had used Gwenyth Paltrow or something, that would've been better, because she has that softer look that's closer to the original Trudy. But Melora just felt wayyyy too wrong to me. I just couldn't find her believable or likeable. I love the show itself so much, but she makes it hard to watch sometimes. Oh, and regarding Arrested Development, 1st Marta wins, too, in my book. And almost 1st Egg, too, simply because she's so forgettable (though I love Mae Whitman). I'd completely forgotten about this movie until seeing these notifications, so I'll have to go back and rewatch it one of these days to jog my memory. That's the sad part, she's not even supposed to be the scary part of this movie, she's just the mother/wife character. Growing up, I never got into the Goosebumps books, because I didn't really care much for the supernatural stuff. I loved the Fear Street books, because, as far as I remember, they were real human killers and victims. I've always preferred serial killers to ghosts/spirits, because, to me, it's scarier because it can actually happen. So this trilogy was a letdown for me, unfortunately :( I mean, it was okay for what it was, but they shouldn't have called it Fear Street, in my opinion. The episode "Without a Trace" might be what you're looking for. It's in season 8. I know your post was five years ago, but oh well. I agree, I recently watched the "Insulated Evidence" episode, and that kind of surprised the hell out of me that that was even possible! I've never lived in an apartment, so I don't know how that setup works. Definitely good to know though! And I also agree with you on your second part. I don't remember "Fate Date" off the top of my head, or I maybe haven't seen it yet, but my first instinct would always be to help someone that's in danger and/or wounded. But, sadly, some people apparently like to use that as a ruse to hurt people, and I hate that so much :( Dammit, now I'll have to find it and watch it lol I figured if he was a main character, that probably wouldn't have happened, but ya never know. Maybe it's just that he was in that movie, not that he was the one who pulled the prank. That John Denver's full of shit, man. That is one line that I quote literally every goddamn day, at least 20 times lol Because, well, bunch of savages in this town. Doesn't matter which town, either lol Definitely hilarious! I may need to watch it again tonight lol I just learned about it recently through the "Trivia" section on Dumb and Dumber's IMDb page. I still have yet to watch that other movie though. (p.s. Tell Dante he's not even supposed to be here today!) I haven't personally watched it yet, but I'm assuming so. Terri Garr is actually playing Mary's step-mom, not her mother-in-law. And yeah, Mary's parents' plan is to act normal, pretend nothing's wrong, so that they don't draw any attention with the media or the authorities and thus throw off the kidnappers' plans. As Nicolas Andre says, "You never know what they might do to him then." Also, I can't remember if it says specifically, but I've always assumed that he's just been a friend of the family and working in the family business or whatever for decades or something. He probably just feels entitled to this fortune that he's helped them make, and he probably thinks that they don't value him enough or something. He's the one who pulls the scam, I believe. Apparently the movie Lloyd is referring to ("I saw it in a movie once...") is Something Wild (1986), and Jeff Daniels plays the guy who pulled the scam lol I'm not sure why you felt the need to clarify what all of us already know and, on top of that, to say "this is all wrong." We know what a "trick" is, and its definition hasn't been called into question here at all... I have to ask, have you even seen the show/this scene? Honestly, I think that was the absolute best part of the entire show, haha I wouldn't necessarily say that it's over-the-top as far as portraying an angsty teenage girl, but more so in the way that just about every post- brain-consumption idiosyncrasy was over the top with each passing episode. I mean, in the very first episode of the show, Liv pockets other people's things maybe five or six times throughout the episode, and then later she realizes that it's because the victim was a kleptomaniac. Otherwise, Liv seems to be her normal self (or her "new normal," five months after the boat party). But as the show progresses, all of a sudden she eats a bit of a brain and completely becomes that person, as opposed to just having a couple of small personality traits that they had. That got pretty annoying to me, personally. So when Major is the teenage girl and Liv is her dad, it was only annoying to me in that they suddenly weren't Major and Liv anymore, they were these other people. But seriously, I laughed so hard at just about everything Major said in those scenes lol Liv: "Where are you off to, kiddo?" Major: *angry look* "I have mercenary training, ghodd!" It gets me every time :') I agree, I love his hair in this show. And the singing! I guess they don't really look very much alike side-by-side, but he reminds me a lot of Neil Patrick Harris. That douche-y radio kid joked about that in one episode, saying something like, "Yeah, I know who you are, you used to play Doogie Houser!" lol He's also on an episode of Criminal Minds, but of course he's a bad guy :( Still hot though. PSA: If you can't use "whom" correctly, don't use it at all. Ahh, okay, that makes more sense then. I'm glad you at least powered through the main seasons lol And there's some foreshadowing, of course, but not necessarily about every big thing that happens in the show. Sometimes it's just silly little nods to things that happen later, without being what I would consider "foreshadowing," if that makes sense. As far as Lindsay being adopted and older than Michael, there are quite a few nods to that, too. Or, like I said, at least little quips along the way. And I think it's mentioned a few times that George Bluth was the original creator of the frozen banana (also on their sign, "Bluth's Original Frozen Banana"), which we find out later was untrue. I feel like there might be a couple of other small bits, but I'm forgetting them at the moment. Like I said, it's one of those things where you notice so much more with each subsequent rewatch, and the jokes get funnier each time because of that.
