Oh go away it's a show for children. If it were a show for children then put the show on Nickelodeon. Wait never mind Nickelodeon has darker content. CW is not a children's network (it's teen/young adult).
Look for 8 years these guys have gotten nothing but love and affection for all the great work they've done adapting George's work, and doing a hell of a job of it. I've praised them for 8 years because they deserved it, and gave us something really special. A fantastic show, with beautiful scenery, great cinematography, quality scripts, and fantastic actors. Season 7 was my least favorite, the year GOT started to go Hollywood on us, but still enjoyable.
But I'm sorry they deserve blame for the trainwreck that is Season 8. I'm of the belief that you have to take the good with the bad in life, especially with the arts. For 8 years they've gotten nothing but praise, and love. They dropped the ball big time, and they deserve the criticism. It's not even what they're doing, it's how they're doing it. Had their execution been better, and not rushed, we probably wouldn't be having this conversation right now.
They've had two years to end this thing, and this is the best they could do. You said it yourself they've worked hard as hell for 8 years and truth be told, they're burnt out. HBO told them to take 10 episodes instead of 6, or even take another Season, but they declined (so that's on D and D). Regardless of how terrible this ending is, the show is still going down in my top 5. Now to be fair, are some fans going above and beyond, absolutely. But to say they deserve more appreciation, I think they've gotten enough (hell they got a Star Wars movie out of it).
You are not wrong. You know who else should have been season long villains? Or at the very least half season long villains. Captain Cold, Trickster, Mirror Master, Clock king, and Killer Frost.
Killer Frost is a fantastic DC villain, I royally hate what this show has done with her. End of Season 2, Caitlin should have went full on villain and never come back. It's like the writers were heading there, chickened out, and couldn't pull the trigger. A decision that will forever make me angry.
Also Gorilla Grodd believe it or not is actually a very cool villain in the comics/cartoons. However on this show they basically reduced him to a stupid CGI King Kong wannabe. I hate their version of Grodd.
yeah this show is all about forced conflicts
^^You sir are a dunce. You are not listening to what I'm saying therefore this conversation is pointless, and will continue to go back and forth.
I'm all for character development and enjoyed seeing professor Hulk. I said that already. I said that already, you chose to ignore what I said. Just because Hulk rag dolled Loki in a previous film like you say, or threw Ultron, and fought Thanos already....so what? So now Hulk has done all he can do, and from here on out, nothing more for him because he rag dolled Loki 7 years ago. 7 years ago he rag dolled Loki so Hulk can't do anything more. You're saying be happy with what you got 7 years ago, and expect nothing more. Bull.
You see the Hulk can have character development (he should). However that doesn't mean he can't fight, and shouldn't fight. I wanted to see the Hulk fight, that fight could have been having Professor Hulk fight. Fans of the Hulk want to see this, not just me.
Tony fought Thanos in the last movie and lost so why have Tony fight him again? (I'll wait). Cap fought Thanos in the last movie and lost so why have Cap fight him again? (Again I'll wait). Thor fought....you see where I'm going. Since you didn't respond to any of my Iron Man critiques I can only assume you are an Iron Man fanboy therefore you've gotten everything you wanted because Tony has been the central focus of all the Avenger films. He was even a big focus of films that were not his own.
You say trying to focus a movie on 20 plus heroes is too much, which it is. I never said focus on 20 characters (your putting words into my mouth) The writers chose to focus on the original avengers team, plus a few more. Hulk is part of that original team hence, he should have gotten his due.
I've said all I need to say. You liked the film as is, fine. Guess what? Nobody can take that away from you. I liked the film too, but didn't like certain aspects of it, or how certain characters were shafted. My opinion, deal with it
Hulk fans want to see the Hulk. Same as Thor fans want Thor. Not only do fans want to see them, they want to see their favorite characters in all their glory, not reduced to silly comic relief. If you can't grasp why Thor and Hulk fans are upset I'm done talking to you so don't even bother responding.
Iron Man/Cap fans don't have this problem because these characters get all the best material, which I totally understand. Even still doesn't mean you can't share the screen a little, especially in a 3 hour movie.
Ok I'll try asking you this. If the final fight was simply Cap and Thor vs Thanos would Iron Man fans get pissed? You know they would. But why did we need Iron Man to fight Thanos when he already fought him and lost in Infinity Wars? Why do we need Iron Man anything when he's been the most overexposed character of all the Avengers? He had already has his own trilogy, had the most amount of screen time in all the avengers movies, had a supporting role in a Spiderman movie, and was the second lead in Cap's third film? Hulk on the other hand had a solo movie most people like to forget (not counting Ang Lee because it wasn't MCU), a guest spot in a Thor movie, and supporting roles in the Avengers movies. Due to legal reasons prob won't get another solo film for many many years.
And going in nobody knew it was last appearance of Tony Stark since RDJ was floating the idea of doing more films so stop using that as your arguing point.
Dude stop being a troll. Why do we have to see Iron Man? Or why do we have to see Cap? or any of them? It's an Avengers movie. Exactly he already lost to Thanos, just as everybody lost to Thanos first time around. So he should not try again.
I didn't say I didn't enjoy Professor Hulk. Don't put words into my mouth. I simply said I wanted to see Hulk fight Thanos. As most fans of the Incredible Hulk wanted to see.Thanos went up against Cap, Thor, and Iron man 3 on 1. Why couldn't it have been a 4 on 1? Especially when hulk is your big gun.
As for "How many time do you want to basically the same thing repeated?" Take a moment and think about why this is a silly comment
Absolutely this one was the worst offender. Cutting back and forth between Johnny/Daniel fighting to old footage from the first movie looked like we were watching a fan made youtube video. It pissed me off.
I'm not missing anything. When will Thanos be back???? Can they fix these characters in future films? Yes they can. However in this film they dropped the ball. We are talking about this movie. Not future movies that may or may not come.
I agree with your assessment. However I'll see you Thor, and raise you The incredible Hulk. I'm still reeling that we didn't get to see Hulk vs Thanos. At least we got Thor vs Thanos, and Thor killed him in the beginning.
I really hate that The MCU has basically relegated Thor and Hulk to being goofy comic relief. What a waste.
Agree. Using the old music is great
Not to get in the middle of this debate. But you do know that rotten tomato scores, and imdb rating can be manipulated right and are no indication of how good a movie is.
Oh god and why why why was Ghost on the front line?
What purpose did that serve? Why do these writers hate dire wolves so much? Ghost should have been down in the crypts
Yes. These people never learn. He got what he deserved
Did Natalie show up? Or did they recycle old footage of her?
Guy deserved it
Great post sir. I'd also like to add. So Tony reverses the snap at the end and everyone comes back as if nothing had happened. We see Ant Man's daughter is still 5 years older.....so wouldn't Peter Parkers classmates have graduated high school by now? The ones that weren't dusted. Wouldn't they be 5 years older then him?
I was happy to see Cap get a happy ending with Peggy Carter. It was a nice moment for sure. However wouldn't Cap going back and altering the past mess with the timeline? This film made their own rules about time travel, which is fine. But I feel they kind of glossed over most of the important elements of time travel just to suit the plot.
Lastly: Big massive funeral for Tony at the end. Makes sense. Ignore Natasha entirely....WTF was that? I know they had a brief scene where they grieved for her. But I found it unintentionally comedic that they gave one avenger a massive funeral and acted like the other never existed. Good movie overall just not nearly as tight as infinity war.
I gotta be honest when I say that I like the show and all, but they're just not very good at killing people off. Del's death in Season 1 was pure shock value, and a total waste of a good actor in Esai Morales. I'm a big Esai fan, and I wanted more from him,we barely got to know him at all. The Langmore brothers, again shock. I feel like they were just reaching their potential before being offed. Buddy started off a weird, and creepy character to a likeable old chum. His death was inevitable, but they could have kept him longer. Jacob Snell was hands down the worst death by far. Very good character, and actor. Another wasted, shock value death. Agent Petty I could have cared less about because I hated the character to begin with.
When Talisa tells Robb she wants to name their son Eddard. When Arya can't throw Needle into the water. During battle of the blackwater when Sansa finds the doll her father gave her.
