Nice! I need to go back and watch the scene again. I'm curious what technically makes it rape. She gave consent. The assumption is that he did not identify himself under the mask and knew that she thought he was someone else which would have led her to not give consent. So he lied. But lots of people lie. Many people lie all the time to the extent if their sexual partner knew, the partner would withdrawal consent, but you cannot withdrawal retroactively. How culpable is the woman in this scene for providing consent without establishing the necessary facts on her end? Note - I do not condone the actions of the man in this scene and find it at the very least highly immoral. You had my approval once you said IMDB closing their message boards was the worst decision they ever made. Very good write up! If she did, it would only be to kill someone that f'd with her. Well poo on people for not making her feel safe. If I were a celebrity, I would never read the Internet comments. It reminds me of a horrible dream I had once where I was in this maze and every turn led to more maze that looked exactly the same. I was about to go insane from it when I woke myself up and turned on the tv for half an hour to calm myself down. Glad it never happened again. Yeah I was waiting for some horrible accident. I thought it was going to happen when he got a lightning bolt to the arm. Well I suppose the Jonas and Martha shouldn't exist to stop the car accident since the car accident led to the creation of the worlds Jonas and Martha came from. It's all a bunch of time travel stuff that...I...don't...understand. :) Agreed! I often have this problem with British television shows.Maybe that is a nuance of British shows where scenarios have to be completely impractical. There are some decent parts in the show though. Only halfway through at the moment. It did play a bit slow, and I did not care about most of the characters. I hope season two is not as slow. Wasn't the worst thing I ever watched though. I thought maybe he was part Vulcan or Android or something. I felt much the same way as you. I just finished streaming it for the first time this morning. I bought Walt's retiring. I mean, all the bad guys were wrapped up and taken care of. Cady? Sheriff? Nope! I mean, the Native Americans seemed to despise her, so I am sure they would just love her now in charge of the law. Walt and Vic hooking up? There was just something off about it. Like, I get they really cared about each other, but them knocking boots was just awkward. I like your metaphor about stumbling across the finish line (like Vic in her race). Weren't some of the actors from the movie trying to buy it? Sounds like a good idea. Stop by and watch 50-year-old Randy play with his Zeppelin. It's what Bing Crosby dreamed of. Yes, visually, briefly, in passing, several times. I concur, worth 7/10 as I believe Peter Billingsley successfully pulled off an adult Ralphie. I gave it a 7/10. I did not go into this expecting anything else than watching Peter Billingsley daydream and get to see some of the original cast. Some of those guys I am pretty sure barely acted before or after A Christmas Story, so it was cool to see them again, and I am sure they all got a kick out of it. Also, so glad they did not try to focus the movie on his kids to set up some new generation of Christmas Story movies. Yeah there were many aspects of the show that just weren't plausible. By season 4, I had trouble keeping track of the plot and what they were exactly trying to accomplish. I suppose if the takeaway is that crime doesn't pay and leaves you stuck in a vicious circle of misery, then mission accomplished. Also, Wendy should have died multiple deaths. Weakest running her mouth off annoying character ever. I'm going to have to go back and watch all the movies and pay better attention. Thanks! Thank you kindly. I liked Breaking Bad and The Sopranos. Have not seen the other two yet.
