Okay, I just went and read about the movie on wiki and it sounds amazing. I'll definitely see it and thanks for the recommendation! You can't jail someone for comments you don't like and what if a guy is genuinely paying you a compliment (ex - you're beautiful, you're hot, etc.) and yet you take it as an sexual comment, when it's just a sincere comment? I'm sorry, I call BS on that argument. Women say far, far, far dirtier things than I've ever heard come out of a guys mouth and by the way, if a woman doesn't want a guy to notice them bodies, how about women stop dressing to get that kind of attention? There's a novel idea! Seriously, do you really believe what you've stated above?!? I see your point and I wondered about that too. Thanos did have four stones (power, space, reality, soul) to Doctor Strange's one stone (time stone) and Thanos used the stones he had in conjunction with the infinity gauntlet. Surely the power stone, soul stone or reality stone could be used against the time stone. I'm just thinking out of the box on this one. Everyone is overthinking this plot point. You have to consider chaos theory. What if Peter had never hit Thanos, yet Thanos was able to suddenly pull himself out of Mantis's trance? What if they had gotten the gauntlet off, only to have Thanos take it back from them by physical force? The gauntlet was designed to fit his hand, not a human hand so I seriously doubt anyone else could have put their fingers into it. You're also forgetting how powerful Thanos is. He's not a Celestial like Ego, however he is an Eternal, a race the Celestials created. He's not some pushover, so he might have still retaken the gauntlet and killed a few of them in the process. Except for Doctor Strange, I believe Thanos could have easily bested everyone else attacking him in that moment. Woulda-coulda-shoulda.... it's all irrelevant because Doc saw that no matter what they did, they only had one scenario where they win. Yeah, I really think the second Avengers was the weakest of all the MCU movies. I didn't hate THOR: DW the way a lot of people did but I enjoyed it more than AOU, which was done shoddily by Josh Whedon. I also blame bad writing for AOU's story. It wasn't nearly as coherent as other MCU movies and Ultron came across more as a nuisance than a real world threat. TDKR is a much better movie, in my opinion. Tom Hardy's Bane was fabulous. You felt a real sense of menace when he was on the screen and the stakes seemed higher. I felt a sense of dread at what was happening to Gotham, I never felt the same about the Earth in AOU. Agreed! I often wonder what kind of movie David Ayers really made, versus what we got on the big screen in Suicide Squad. Warner Bro's never learn the right lesson from their mistakes and I heard they interfered greatly with SS. With WW, they kept their hands mostly off and Jenkins was able to make a good final product. I liked it but felt that all the praise heaped on it was a bit much. The ending was overly dramatic. I understand that the book the movie was based on had a less dramatic, yet more believable ending. I think it's all tied to expectations. I liked Apollo 18 for what it was. Truthfully, I didn't expect anything other than what I got, which was basically "Blair Witch Project in Space." By that, I mean the style in which the story was presented (lost film footage). Europa report was a vastly underrated movie. It was done on a low budget but was certainly a fine space exploration movie. I liked it more than The Martian, which I think is a tad bit overrated. Moon was by far the best of these types of movies though. WW was great! They should have let Patty Jenkins direct all the DCEU movies. I didn't hate MOS the way others did but I recognized it had issues that needed addressing. BVS was just a disaster. It's stunning. Everything they do is to be "in your face" against one group of people they dislike for whatever reason (you're straight, you're white, you're male, you're not liberal, you're religious), instead of presenting a character that EVERYONE can like. So per your worldview, in order to like DC (I had Batman comic books growing up, watched the t.v. show reruns with Adam West, loved Burton's 89 BATMAN and the 90's animated show) I am required now to ascribe to Zach Snyder's twisted, muddled and grim vision of DC? No thank you. If that makes me a "fake dc fan" as you put it, then I'll wear that label with pride any day. Hey, I'm all for DC having great movies. I like the DC Universe, I just don't like the Snyder version of it. Marvel listens to their fans. Maybe WB should take a page and listen to their fans for once. I don't like the CW version of The Flash. The 90's version was so much more entertaining and the characters were actually old enough to shave. CW has characters that look like they're not even out of high school yet. It's a joke! I had thought about giving this show a chance but not after all I've read about it being a platform for radical SJW agenda items. Why do they do this and destroy a character that people would otherwise like? It's incomprehensible. I don't know. TDK trilogy is likely the greatest CBM trilogy of our time but... Captain America's trilogy was pretty awesome too. It's hard for me to say for sure. I'd give the edge to TDK, mainly on the strengths of the second movie in that trilogy, however that's a dime's edge I'm thinking. Then again, WS was the second movie in Cap's trilogy so it's kind of back-and-forth for me. Probably TDK trilogy but I'm not going to argue with someone who picks the CA trilogy. Where to begin. This argument you make is easily quashed, like stepping on a bug. I'll forgo the tedious effort of typing reason after reason after reason as to why you're wrong. Instead, I'll summarize. BVS is "epic" in the way a giant pile of garbage is epic when it casts a shadow over someone. It's lazy writing, gloomy visuals, nonstop and loud orchestra music, poor acting - all lumped together in an embarrassing movie that wasted nearly 3 hours of most people's lives. If that's your idea of quality CBM entertainment, then more power to you. Nearly everyone else acknowledges that DC fans deserved much better and that Warner Bro's crapped the bed with that movie. What they've allowed to happened to the wonderful world of DC ought to infuriate you. It infuriates me. I get you. I enjoyed his portrayal, however one can't help but think of Thanos when seeing him or hearing him deliver lines. As much as he did a good job with Cable, he IS Thanos! Which Batman - Burton's, Nolan's or Snyder's? And what's wrong with a superhero who's a bit irreverent and not the typical "good" guy? Deadpool is great fun! Why so serious? ;)
