They are mesmerizing. It's easy to see how she's been discovered. She's got a "look" that's pure yet sensual at the same time. Yeah, I don't remember a night scene either and I also didn't realize this movie was based on a book. Interesting. How does the book stack up against the movie? I don't know if it hits 1 billion. That's a tall order for most movies but I think it could reach 700 million during the length of it's run. That was cool. I sometimes wish I lived closer to CA so I could catch some of these premiers. Of course, that would be the ONLY reason I'd want to be in CA these days. A lot of us are holding our collective breaths, waiting to see what happens. Never really been apprehensive about an MCU movie before but I am now. Maybe it's just us and we don't get Larson. She may knock it out of the park but we won't know till we know. And that also worries me. It's generally considered by critics to be his weakest movie, however I find "The Life Aquatic" a funny, quirky and touching movie about who we are and what drives us. I agree 100%. This was a rather enjoyable mini-series and explored the character of Merlin quite well. I'm not ashamed to share that I've actually thought about this. She's a little freak! I thought Wonder Woman was good. I thoroughly enjoyed it. It wasn't a movie trying to be something more than what it was. They should have done ALL the single story movies first before jumping into team up movie. Also, nothing against Cyborg but let's have a Martian Manhunter movie and then make him a part of the JLA. He's very cool! People are going to like what they like, I get that much. What I can't fathom is covering for disappointment by digging in and staunchly defending a hack like Snyder who was totally indifferent to the heritage and motivations of these characters. BVS is the worst movie I've ever seen. Period. It's a train wreck into a volcano during a eclipse. Suicide Squad was all over the place and had a terrible plot. Of the three you mentioned, I liked MOS but it had some issues. I don't think it deserves the hate like the previous two movies. I've been all in favor of rebooting everything since Batman V Superman. There was absolutely no good reason that movie could not have been the greatest comic book movie of all time. And I blame Snyder 50% for what it ended up being, along with 50% on WB's shoulders since they greenlit that garbage. Thank you. I saw this advertised on Netflix and the first thing I thought was that it must be a "Quiet Place" type of movie. Now that I've read your description, I'm going to give it a viewing. You didn't like it? Hmmm.... thus far I've heard mixed views, although most have been positive. And I agree completely about Snyder. He had zero reverence for the DC source material. He just made movies that he wanted to make, fans be damned! It's an example of a movie with a good concept but poor delivery. It goes from being creepy to silly about 30 minutes in. Interesting article. My own belief is that it will have something to do with the equipment that Hank Pym invented to travel in the quantum realm. I get the impression from the new trailer that Scott Lang gets out of the quantum realm and makes his way to Avengers HQ, where he shares what he's discovered with the remnant Avengers team. I also think that by this time, Captain Marvel has arrived back to Earth but can do nothing much to help, until she meets up with the remaining Avengers and Scott Lang. Once that happens, they are able to use Bruce Banner's scientific mind to figure out a way to use Hank Pym's quantum device to travel back and save everyone. Okay, that's just a working theory right now but it's got some legs. Ditto that sentiment! Not a surprise. Infinity War has a run time of 2 hours and 40 minutes and it goes by fast. All the supposed spin-off movies you mentioned were box office successes and it can be argued that Black Panther was an Avengers spin-off, as he made his first appearance in CA: Civil War, which was basically an Avengers movie. LOL Well the bit of background they give in "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep," which is the book Blade Runner is based on, reveals a world that experienced a brief nuclear war that messed up the environment. It was dark a lot because the atmosphere was polluted, blocking out a lot of the sunlight that gets down to the ground. That's another reason the government was flying around these hoverships with advertisements for settling the planetary colonies. In the book, a good bit of the human population who had not been mutated by the radioactivity, were allowed to emigrate to the colony worlds, like Mars. They never explained that part in the movie Blade Runner, however you could guess that something had happened to Earth. It was either polluted or too populated or too industrial.
