I'm looking forward to seeing if any of these cliches are used in War of the Rohirrim! I saw the original run back in the 1970s. In spite of the HUGELY disappointing 4th season, it's still absurdly funny after all these years. In spite of never having actually been to Brooklyn, I will always be amazed at how well this show captured its time. By the way, her name is Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo. Time Magazine declared that 2024 was "Her Moment", so she's probably doing whatever people do in "their moment". Some Kind of Wonderful was filmed in the summer of 1986 in San Pedro, CA, at the real-life San Pedro High School. In the film, they show the name of the school where the action takes place as "San Pablo High School" by changing 3 letters on the actual sign above the real school's main entrance. I recognize that many John Hughes films took place at a "Shermer High School" and were filmed in Illinois. Some Kind of Wonderful is not one of them. Maybe they are finally going to start respecting a diversity of personal views, regardless of whether they are popular or not? Her fan club Time Magazine said it was "Her Moment". Now it's "Her Embarrassment". Part of being a politician is working with people whose views/values you DON'T respect or agree with. Taking into account that he's a very wealthy movie star, how well do you think he would manage that part of the job? Not only that, but everyone would continuously remind him of being in Batman & Robin. Late night TV is for BORED people! The problem with most metal bands (including Metallica) starting in the mid-1980s is they were less interested in writing songs and captivating material, and more interested in creating that dull, leaden, tediously repetitive "sound". Every band watched the exact same horror movies and started sounding interchangeably the same as everyone else. It was the audio equivalent of a temper tantrum in hi-def sound. Metallica, after establishing their sound on the first two albums, has just relentlessly done the same Spinal Tap thing over and over again. I say all this as someone who actually enjoys music on the heavier end of the spectrum. View all replies >
