Is there any difference between clicking on the "View More" button under Trending...

...and clicking on "Latest Posts" under General?

If not, why are there two functions to do the exact same thing?

There's a slight difference. One link is https://moviechat.org/latest. The other one is /latest.

For shits and giggles I tried to get −∞ post count, but the counter froze at absolute zero and is now permanently stuck.

This site was built up in a hurry so it lacks some server side checks that would normally be in place. For example, in this case, one can delete a post multiple times.

I’ll bear that in mind for when I do my (post that nobody asked for) Top 500 artists of all time.
