A lot of artists and people in general don't make their political views known. The reason is they don't want to irritate half their fanbase. So I don't know how you obtained your insight into the numbers of left-leaning people who make music, games, TV and movies.
Punk music is anti-establishment not "left leaning". The modern left want strict rules on speech, to rewrite classic books to remove words like "fat" and alter dialogue to be more inclusive and diverse. That's not very "punk rock", it's more "whiny little bitch".
Given the flip-flopping left/right election successes over the years, it's obvious many people are in the center, or dislike both sides, or switch from one to the other depending on policies. Artists and creatives are often complex characters, deep thinkers, and have a variety of opinions. Placing them all in a "Creative Lefty Box", is to oversimplify the reality, or you're stuck in the past when that may have been more accurate.
Anyway, I hope one day Doctor Who can dial back the woke cringe. I fear it's all over though. Doctor Who is dead.

...all this because a black man has been allowed to play

"Allowed to play"? You frame it as if black actors have been knocking on the Tardis door, wanting to play Doctor Who but turned away due to "rAcIsM" or something?

Whats the actual problem again though?

The problem is "woke ideology" manifests itself in film and TV with an over-compensatory social activist agenda. Rules, quotas and guidelines are imposed. This impedes creativity via an intrusion into scripts and casting. Not unlike the way communist authorities make sure they are portrayed positively in movies. Except this time it's representatives of transgender rights groups, making sure they have X amount of screen time in Doctor Who.
Within the first few minutes of the first Doctor Who episode, we're served up a transgender performance, and a Black gay Doctor. He is literally twirling like a ballerina to cheesy dance music in a club, dressed in kilt and tank top, arms in air. They couldn't have chosen a more stereotypical "gay man" scene if they'd tried. It's obvious what's going on. They're reinforcing his sexuality, "out and proud", by forcing it into the a science fiction story.
THIS is the problem. Get it? Viewers don't want to be slapped in the face with a wet fish of wokeness in what is meant to be a science fiction adventure with beloved and familiar character.
Nobody is against diverse actors, but when they're forced into existing stories, displacing the established characters because "DEI" politics, then you have a problem. Why can't the woke producers make a new show called Doctor Woke? Start a new concept from scratch rather than hijacking these old shows?

...written by people on the left-side of the spectrum

The problem with your comment is you're responding to a point that was never made.
The OP said "evil cannot create". It appears you're under the impression everything created by the "woke left" is fundamentally good and creative. That's your error.
Just because an artist is "left wing" doesn't mean they always produce quality work. They are entirely capable of producing mediocre, derivative, yawn-inducing, agenda-driven, nauseating cheesy drivel.
Which brings us to Doctor Who: How the Wokies ruined this once great show.

So what else are the problems with Lightyear exactly then?

In the first 3 minutes the straight white male lead (Buzz) is portrayed as foolish, pretentious and ashamed of himself in front of the practical, wise, superior LGBT officer. This theme continues throughout the movie.
If you ever watched the original Toy Story, Buzz is 100% confident. He would never feel foolish about recording a mission log, for example.
So the whole premise of Lightyear misrepresents the Buzz character from before Toy Story, for the sake of Disney's DEI agenda.
Here's a youtube link that covers most of the problems:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cEiUSLmyIaw
So your answer is "no, I don't have a sensible question".

I am specifically referring to your outrage over Lightyear.

What outrage? My post is clear and concise.
Your strawman response is weak. You seem as dumb as a post, so I probably should explain what strawman means. A strawman is when you attempt to refute an argument never made. In this case you claim I am "outraged" about a kiss scene when I specifically said "nobody cares about a kiss scene".
The wider issue of DEI policies influencing everything from characters in stories to how many white pilots can be hired in aviation, is the problem. The censorship of reviews on IMDB that mention DEI policies in movies, is another problem. Capeesh?
No, I'm complaining about Disney's inclusion standards contaminating the creative process. [1]
Do you have any sensible questions?

An anonymous source just sent Disney's "inclusion standards" document to Elon Musk, according to his post on X.

https://pbs.twimg.com/media/GFsCz9qX0AAQiD8?format=jpg&name=large

This is the kind of thing I'm talking about. All those mandates and rules permeate the fabric of creativity and expression. You can write a good story at Disney, provided it goes through the inclusion sausage machine.
Box-ticking creative dictators, weirdos acting like members of some sick socialist brainwashing cult.
"Reason: Other
Your contribution has been declined. We did not capture a specific reason during processing."
We all know the reason. It's because I criticised DEI messaging.
Take a movie like Monsters Inc. There's no obvious politics in there. The most you could find is the value of happy kids over scared kids. There's no ridiculous side-hustle plots about gay couples, and there's no self-conscious balance of skin colour representation. Pixar should stick with universal values relatable to everyone, like those found in Monsters Inc, not the divisive identity politics of trumped up grievances around sexuality and race.

So what it if there's a same sex kiss in this movie?

The majority of people have no issues with same sex couples. But clearly Disney/Pixar make a conscious effort to push their agenda on certain themes and social issues front and center. As if people look to Disney for how to think and live their lives, rather than simply to find escape in fantastic other-worldly stories.
The issue is when it's forced into the story as a priority. It's not subtle, and it's getting worse. Kids fiction writers and movie studios shouldn't be in the business of injecting political activist content in movies. It comes across as creepy and has a propaganda vibe. Unsurprisingly, people are getting tired of this shit.
It's not healthy for the integrity of art when such issues are awkwardly forced on viewers, pretending to be effortlessly blended with the story. "Nothing to see here"!
It's like when activists and social justice tantrum throwers, infiltrate HR departments in companies, guilt-tripping DEI mandates because "too many white people" is a problem according to their ideology. They open a door to a room, and if they see 5 people all white, they see a problem that needs "fixing".
DEI in principle sounds fine until you notice they often put down one group in order to elevate another.
NOBODY cares about a same sex kiss. People care about the forced agenda of shoving it in front of viewers not for the sake of the story, but to appease the "DEI Consultants" the studio hires in turn to appease a certain political view in some sections of audiences and media.
I'm not clicking those, please summarise them in a paragraph or two, since you created the thread, you should post some actual words not just links!
Bad idea Amazon. Neighbours is one of the most overrated pieces of garbage in TV history.
Terrible acting, boring, lifeless stories. It's just boring people sitting around in obvious studio set houses, whinging about nothing, with long concerned gazes whenever someone leaves the room. Cut to the person in the room who now has a worried look on their stupid face. That's it. That's what Neighbours is, nothing more.
The "lifer" actors were in auto-pilot. Zombies of rubbish TV.
Amazon has been fooled into believing people *seriously* like this show, enough to keep watching after it was put down. The truth is, very few people like it. It was "liked" as a joke, but absolutely nobody really cared about the story, actors, or anything about it. Most were happy to see it end. Amazon are fools for going anywhere near this garbage.
LOL, 1887.
Nobody denies historical racism. But we live in the 21st century now, not the 19th century. In 500 years from now the few remaining Woke nutjobs will still be crying "RaCiZZMmm".
Laws have been in place for a long time that prevent discrimination. If you are discriminated against based on race, or other things such as disability or gender, you can sue. That's how it is now. That's the system we live in.
So your position in this debate relies on some kind of vaporous after-glow of historical racism you insist is tangible and real today... in the "sYsTeM" and the mind's of old white men! You want intellectual honesty? You need to come to the same table, bud.
You probably name-call your way around the internet, but it makes you look foolish just so you know.
Just today I was listening to a local radio station, where the Woke radio presenter (who is white) said "I'm just waiting for them all to die, hurry up and die already.". He was not joking, he was angry. Who was he talking about? He was talking about "old white men", such as politicians and others in power or influence. He also said "if you vote for the right, you don't love your children".
If you can't see that "Woke" is increasingly associated with deluded, toxic ideology, you're suffering from an irrational state of mind.
Skin color doesn't matter. Corruption, stupidity, intelligence, innovation... all traits can occur in humans of ANY color or age. It is NOT helpful using Woke memes to target certain sections of the population based on skin color or background. Insisting that all we need to do is replace the white men with "diversity", is an unfortunate position to take. What you'll see as more tokenistic placements occur based on diversity quotas rather than merit, is an increase in decline, not an increase in stability. Why? Because the big issues are not easy to manage. If you have an angry social justice warrior calling the shots, you will get "revenge" based policy, over-compensatory signalling and "over-steer" in everything because "justice" or whatever.
You and I likely share a lot of opinions on the problems in the world. I am concerned about the environment, about extinction of species and threats to bio-diversity among many other things. But that doesn't mean I'll shout for old white men to die, or rush to fill the oceans with wind farms up and down the coast everywhere. We owe it to future generations to get it right, and that doesn't mean being hysterical and pushing radical policies with anger and frustration.
You mean the sham investigation designed to distract? Carefully orchestrated to be "must see TV"?
They literally hired a veteran TV executive to make the hearings a more "compelling spectacle" for TV. His role hasn't been updated on his IMDB profile though, because the less they mention the purpose built TV stagecraft looking for ratings, the better:
https://www.imdb.com/name/nm1397966/
At least try to see through the efforts to guide you opinion and views. Otherwise you may as well be a robot on autopilot.
Your remark says nothing.
If you start with the baseline assumption that all politicians want a "better world", you don't need all those reflex pointless comments. In other words, you are not some warrior with a shield against criminals.
"Woke" is becoming an insult. It's associated with over-sensitive hysterics, sort of like the Karen of political ideology. I wouldn't be placing bets on woke movements.
Tolerated to a point, many will shake their heads and laugh as the woke parade marches by, chanting their grievances about things that keep them up at night. We've always had grumpy foot-stomping activism. They like to make signs with witty puns. They love to bring down one group in order to elevate another.
"DiSmAnTLe tHe pAtriArChY!!!".... is a classic one. Okay guys dry those tears, we'll get some diversity in and.. "nOt gOOd eNouGh!!!"... okay guys, chill out, we'll run some courses and force people to take those courses, and you guys can run the courses. Nobody will like them, you'll be mocked, but maybe it will shut you up for awhile.
The problem with woke activism is.. well, it's lame. Humans generally won't tolerate lame shit for the long term. Short term, we pander to the needs of woke culture for awhile, giving them media megaphones and social clickbait, mainly to shut them up. Most educated people see through it, however.
Here in Australia, a teacher was fired for making all the boys stand up at assembly and apologise for the crimes of their gender. When the Woke go full retard, even the lefties come out and say "ok maybe that's going too far".
Don't mistake a "movement" for short term tolerance, like a misbehaving spoiled brat is tolerated.

Defending this man on any level speaks volumes about one's character.

Likewise, making that statement may speak volumes about one's character. It's clearly a false statement, since it's easy to find agreeable policies or actions of any president's term.
This problem with leftist ideology is it promotes a binary, absolutist stance. The prescribed team-sport mentality is designed to manipulate people into loyalty. You are not permitted to have even one hair in the other team, or you are morally corrupt.
By targetting the "other side" as corrupt, the enemy, you are digging your own hole. All sides of politics use manipulation tactics. It's dangerous to embrace one side as the "good guys" and by implication the other side must be "bad guys".
The conservative right and far right, will embrace bizarre logic often associated with God, and religious values. This can be dangerous when those values merge with laws and policies that affect our lives.
The liberal left and far left will beat their drums about problems they invented, escalate and blow out of proportion. The left cannot regulate their emotions, or tolerate anyone who disagrees. This can be dangerous when those values merge with laws and policies that affect our lives.
Collusion with Big Tech censorship, media bias on overdrive, or even white house press secretaries refusing to acknowledge things that everyone can see. (Biden asking the whereabouts of a dead person).. "she was top of mind".. Um, no. The left never says it like it is, and that's dangerous. Personally I prefer it when Trump just said it like he read it. At least you know what you're getting then.
Trump - flawed. Biden - flawed. USA won't repair its culture until you start focusing on individual policy in its own right, regardless of which side is the admin. And have some courage to call out the politicians of the party you voted for when they do the wrong thing, or something you disagree with. Good luck!

nice, entertaining, sensible

Ewwww! I wanna throw up in my mouth.
That scene where Dr Finn asks her kids for permission to marry Issac, and they're like "whatever makes you happy mom", and cue the cheesy flutes and gleeful faces of the happy family... OMG whoever wrote that scene needs to be put down.
And the scene in last episode where that boring visitor chick has a heart to heart with Kelly in front of the ship's power core. 4 minute conversation, where nothing is said, just back and forth wishy washy mundane crap. I challenge you to watch that scene which starts at 40:10 and not wanna kill yourself.
Episode 6 - bikie loses arm wrestle, and just hands over keys to 2 bikes... because the girl made the terms of the bet, so they had no choice? And the terms are that if she loses, they "choose", implying they can have their way with her sexually because she's apparently that hot? Holy shit that was retarded writing. Those bikies were chilling in the bar playing pool, they weren't rapists and murderers. The dude she made the bet with looked so clean LOL.
There's a reason Seth MacFarlane only does the voices on Family Guy. He can't write for shit. I'll be a bit kinder and say his consistency is shithouse. I'm guessing he doesn't take enough drugs in his old age.
Ok. I'm not American. I only know him from two shows: 30 Rock and The Shadow (movie from the 90s).
I can't remember seeing him in anything else, and I don't need to know more!
