Cool.. you can disrespectfully disagree with me too, I don't mind! :-)
I am quite certain it has its fans. The production is crammed with a lot to take in. It has style... I wanted to like it and honestly thought I would. But it just pushed me away, alienated me, to the point I felt angry and so I wrote the OP.

The sensitivity around profanity is fascinating. Even when talking objectively about specific words, we feel compelled to mask the letters that make up the word.
How we use and direct profanity, the tone, context and meaning is everything. There's a scale, starting with the least acceptable use: in anger and insult; followed by trouble-makers and trolls with deliberate use; then the poor speakers, the lazy and uneducated; then accidental slip-ups and careless jokes; then comes reasonable emphasis and color for effect; and finally... the most acceptable way to write the F-word is when talking about the F-word, objectively and scientifically. Only then may it be written in full without guilt or cause to offend. With extra insulation from double quotes, the word of the moment, "fuck" is finally set free.
what a loser
I enjoyed it too, very clever and funny... mostly. Some scenes didn't work, or too unrealistic like when she vomited in the pot at the cafe and didn't say anything. That was silly.
Very good though, but I think it wrapped up quite well, and any second series might not have the same energy unless major changes happened and new characters and different direction. In which case, just make something else. Leave on a high.

LOL, apparently smart people don't say 'fuck', and millions of books and films released every year don't respect their audience!
@woody, let me clear something up for you. There is no "audience" in a discussion forum. There's only participants in a casual conversation. Now, you may believe that whenever you speak, those who listen are an "audience" to your charms, formal witnesses to history in the making, but that's just your ego.
People are not on stage here addressing a convention. Forums are causal conversation, an exchange of ideas in whatever style the contributor prefers. That includes colorful language if that's how it rolls.
We are done here.
