I liked James, but he doesn't have the voice or stage presence for it. Ken is an ass so I hope he's not permanent. Brad Rutter would be a better fit for host. I also liked Alex Jacobs and Buzzy Cohen, but I don't think they'll be in the running. Austin Rogers could be fun choice, too. I hope Pat Sajak is one of the guest hosts for a week or so.

I watched the colorized version for the first time last night. They did a pretty good job with the coloring, I noticed some details in the background that I never caught before. I was surprised Mary's wedding suit and hat was gray, though. Should have been white, cream, or a soft pink.
George would not have been drafted. He was a married father and business owner. He certainly could have volunteered, but I don't think anyone would have thought less of him if he didn't volunteer. I guess we are to assume he did since he is designated 4F, but as a prominent member of the community, he would have likely been on the local draft board.

Why would it be sexist? Plenty of women follow sports. Jeopardy sometimes has fashion categories, are they sexist? If so, are categories about opera and ballet elitist?

The problem with the entire show is too much focus on the kids and not enough on the adults at the school and in the town. The show got popular with teens so they shifted the focus to the "hot" teenage characters. Most of the time I felt like the writers treated Coach Taylor sort of like an after thought.
I would love Kelsey Grammer to do it, but no one can replace Alex.
