But surely Logan's death was unintentional, so no justification is required?
Interesting. Any theories as to why Harrison never let on to Dexter that he knew from the start?
I would definitely at least start to watch a Harrison show. Give it a few eps at least. You just never know what the writers might come up with.
Sounds exciting, I would definitely watch that.
@mtxmind that's good to know, thanks, I didn't know they had also crawled the old IMDb board.
I assume you've had a good search of this site to see if you can find it? I'm sure you probably know this but this site was setup based on a near-complete crawl of the IMDb chat forum.
I will never forgive Amazon for their cold hearted decision to wipe the IMDb forum completely, without any backup/archive! It was close to 20 years of users contributions - all for free, for the sake of the tv and movie loving community! All wiped, without any apologies or thank yous.
Col Needham, the originator of IMDb, sold out to Amazon, who have kept him on to continue to run IMDb to this day. Frankly, I don't know how he can sleep at night after the way he shat all over us contributors!
I have never bought anything via Amazon ever since, I will never patronize any Amazon business, and I will always use opportunities like this to let folks know just how much Amazon sux.

I'm loving your idea - not so much the initial part, which seems like too much of a copy of Silence of the Lambs, but certainly the twist re. Harrison!
Oh yeah, that scene closing out season 1 was epic! Also this was before "dark passenger" - instead he refers to his "shadow self"... ah, good times... good times...
I just rated it a 10 to try to even out those knee jerkers. In reality I'd probably rate it 8 or 9 I guess. Between me and the knee jerkers, I think we make imdb's ratings worth diddly squat :-p
I have been wondering the same thing! It was odd to have introduced a seemingly important character who ultimately had zero bearing on the story at all. I was wondering all the way through when he'd come back into play.
That sort of thing (almost) never happens in TV or movies - it goes against one of the most basic principles of writing - look up "Chekhov's gun".
Maybe the writers were just f#c$ing with us? Or maybe the work experience kid wrote the scripts that day?
Weird, because most of the rest of the writing this season was top notch.
Except the bit about the next season being about Dexter and Harrison going on the run together.
I'm liking your 2 different endings theory! Hoping for another season more than ever!
I don't see how they can't! It's been non stop action and intrigue since ep 1. Definitely one of the best Dexter seasons ever.
The only problem is it's a Showtime "Special Event Series" which is them saying no more after this. So if they are true to their word both Dex and Harrison will need to meet a grisly end next episode.
That would make Showtime huge liars, after going to such great lengths to say like "this is a Special Event Series, there will be no more Dexter after this season, period."
But geez, I really wish for nothing more than that they turn out to be huge liars, I love this season so much!
I like your ending better than mine, except that leaves the way open for another season and Showtime have called this a "Special Event Series" and have said there will be no further seasons. This is the reason why I feel it needs to end in a way that reflects that aim.
They're trying to make his bangs/fringe and Dexter's match. I can see it.
God I really hate that hairstyle compared his Miami cut of old!
With only two more eps to go, I'm going to make a prediction that "this family that slays together gets slaid together."
Thanks @Ranb, sounds like they really cocked it up in the TV series, as the way you describe it, the book actually made sense.
Remarkably close, @JustinUK!
With regard to "No one asked Emily how/when/why she got her "clan" tattoo. I doubt she was born with it."
Actually this was addressed in S01E01, she told her mother that a friend chose it for her. And we saw her getting it pretty much in the opening scene of the first episode.
All through the series I was wondering "so was this friend actually an alien from an advance party, or what?"
But now it seems the answer is so much simpler: the aliens copied it from Emily.
I agree. It's hard to love a show that has not one main character in it with any redeeming qualities, right?
