The flag at the end...

Naturally the flag is pro-American propaganda. I find less fault with it because its expected, even though it is a waste of physical effort. I doubt people would be risking their own lives further just to deploy this flag.

What really stuck out to me, as brain-washing propaganda that is used on its own citizens, was all the police and fire fighters that were instantly responding to injuries just as they were happening and while the 2nd large earthquake is still taking place. That is there to reinforce the idea that the government gives a damn about its citizens, tell that to the victims of Katrina.

Haha, what is funny is that I watched the whole movie and I kept wondering why there weren't any American flags visible. Usually in these movies you see a American flag with dramatic patriotic music playing as the camera circles around it.. with a eagle flying nearby.

But yeah, believe me when I say that I ended up laughing out loud the moment they FINALLY showed not one but two flags in similar manner one scene after another.

I am starting to think they just want the world to know that the movie was made in America, the greatest nation on the planet USA.

It was nice seeing the flag, it means hope and the integrety of the people of a country to stad together and survive

If I watched a German movie and saw them hoist the German flag I would be ok. If I watched a Russian movie and saw them hoist the Russian flag I would be ok, and etc.

Its funny watching a bunch of paranoid Amerophobes think that a Flag in a Cheesy Disaster movie is some kind of propaganda. Or Flag Waving is only an American Thing. Like You wont see it in None-American Movies. Because i have seen it in None-American Movies (aka The Sinking of Japan). That didn't have no secret message or even made a political statement. America dose have its problem. Like every Nations. You know like Europe's problem with Muslim terrorist killing Cartoonist. Then please don't bothering watching American Movies. There your Flag Waving problem is solved. Have fun watching Reruns of Benny Hill and "Are you being served". Wait until China is making all your movies. You'll be seeing there flag a lot more.
