Any Earth species that kill and don't feed?

Aside from humans, is there any species of creature on this planet that hunts for fun, or hunts just for the sake of killing something near them? As far as I can recall from every nature show I have ever watched, pretty much every single creature that kills another does it for food.

That being said, since the moon creatures obviously have another source of food (they would HAVE to, as humans are not a viable food source on the moon, and the creatures are never shown eating any of the astronauts)why attack the astronauts? I mean, the moon is big enough where they could have kept a wide berth and not come into contact with the astronauts at all, and waited the 3 days (I think it was 3?) until they left. Just seems odd that if the creatures didn't need to use the astronauts for food, that they would just start terrorizing them and killing them.

Some members of the cat, weasel and mongoose families will seek out and kill snakes which they may not eat. Tigers and jaguars have been known to kill crocodiles.

I think there was some dialogue where the astronauts were speculating that the devices they brought up there were not for spying on the Russians but gave off a signal that attracted the creatures... maybe that signal was what got them riled up and made them attack as a defense.

uh, orcas. they sometimes play with seals, although the seals, even though alive, might be a bit traumatized.

Killer whales have killed people intentionally on several occasions and did not eat them. It was believed to be 100% intentional killings just for the heck of it.

Lions will kill Hyena's for fun and not eat them.

Domestic Dogs have attacked and killed humans without eating them, and sometimes there is absolutely no reason for the attack.

House cats often kill things without eating them.

I remember watching a nature show where some type of primate clan attacked and killed some other primate and they did not eat it.

Many animals will kill if they feel threatened so I excluded all those. Everything listed above is examples of animals killing with no intention of eating what they kill, and situations where the animals doing the killing are not threatened.

I'm sure many species kill for sport only but two of which IU am personally familiar are cats and possums. Possums will invade a chicken coop and kill without eating. They will kill more than one chicken in a single night. Pests, I tell you.

rhinocerous will kill you if you get too near as other creatures would elephants, maybe find yourself too close to a lion and they'll hunt you, lion and tigers have attacked in zoos and circuses, not out of hunger because they are fed, but corner or take an animal out of its environment and you run the risk of well......dying
